One might say that the president was rather presumptuous when he declared, passionately and quite seriously, that if he launched another bid for the White House, he would emerge victorious. But would he?
The voters have spoken, it seems, and it doesn't look good, at least according to a new Rasmussen poll.
Not surprisingly, almost every self-declared Republican surveyed (93 percent) said they would decline to pull the lever for President Obama if he was on the ballot. (I suppose after six and half years, the public is ready for a change). But far more interesting, perhaps, is the fact that nearly one-third of Democrats said the incumbent president would not earn their vote of confidence. Dang:
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 30% of Likely U.S. Voters say they would vote for the president if he ran for a third term. Sixty-three percent (63%) would not. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Most Democrats (57%) would vote to give Obama a third term. Ninety-three percent (93%) of Republicans, 68% of voters not affiliated with either major party - and 32% of Democrats - would not.
Not exactly a ringing endorsement, if you ask me. Oof.
Polls are pretty much meaningless.
Absolutely! EVERY dem, most of the indies, and half the conservatives would not like something or other about their candidate and would stay home.
He wouldn ‘t have to win it. He’d just rig the vote like he did in 2012. Thoese electronic voting machines are swell..

Republicans....heed those poll numbers...they speak volumes about 2016. If the Pubbies nominate an “establishment” RINO candidate for POTUS, like a Jeb Bush...they will get slaughtered, politically come the POTUS election of 2016. Millions of conservative Republicans will stay home, sitting on their hands and not voting, just as they did in 2008 & 2012, not supporting weak sisters, John McCain & Mitt Romney!!! And....millions of “Independents” also will not show up at the voting booth....just plain sick of “The Washington Cartel”!!! Actually, if the pubbies had any street smarts, they would dump, Mitch McConnel and John Boehner, as leaders of th SEnate & House...for many quite obvious good reasons.
GOP candidates for POTUS, that will do very well and win the POTUS, Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz. Mix those folks up as POTUS/VP combos...and you certainly have a clear winner, team!!!.

A poll in July of 2015 and what voters do in November 2016 have no relationship to each other.
The function of the “race” right now is to progressively narrow the choices so that by the Summer 2016 TV shows (excuse me, “conventions”) whoever the media (excuse me, the voters) have chosen for the Fall will make no difference whatsoever.
“Polls”, the “money primary”, “gaffes” are all tools for manipulation.

They are in charge of the Republican Party, they are its leaders and its donors, and until a movement arises that is capable of throwing them out, they most certainly are "Real Republicans".
There were Republican crossovers in 2000 who voted for McCain and then supported Al Gore during the recount. One such tard joined FR to defend his financial support of the recount.
Media loved calling him a Republican for Al Gore. He said he never found a politician who more closely matched his positions.

Not only did I vote for both McCain & Romney.....I “begged” my fellow conservative brothers and sisters to turn out and vote....even though I knew in my heart that McCain & Romney were nothing but weak Republican, establishment whimps!!!
For 2016, IMHO the non-whimp Republican candidates are Trump, Fiorina, Cruz, Carson, Huckabee and possibly Walker!!! The rest have little or phoney “real” fire in the belly!!! We shall see!!! I also believe the Indepndent voters will have a large say on who will be the next POTUS. Thousands of both disatisfied Democrats and Republicans are turning Independent (me included)......because they are sick and fed up with the Politically Correct Washington Political Cartel led by Obama, Obamabots & Repulicans led by McConnell & Boehner!!!
You can drop Carson and Huckabee off the list. Would not vote for either one no matter what.
I live in Arkansas and i have had my fill of the RINO Huckabee.
