Congressman Introduces Bill to Ban Sales of Body Parts From Aborted Babies

After a national scandal over the sale of aborted baby parts, Colorado Representative Doug Lamborn introduced the End Trafficking of the Terminated Unborn Act of 2015 (H.R. 3215), which would ban the acquisition of human body parts from abortions for research. Rep. Lamborn’s legislation is a response to four videos that show Planned Parenthood executives negotiating the sale of aborted babies and discussing how their abortionists alter procedures to obtain salable organs.

The congressman believes his bill is especially important considering the recent revelations regarding Planned Parenthood’s connection with Colorado State University, a state funded school in Northern Colorado.

In 2013, CSU purchased fetal body parts from Planned Parenthood’s flagship abortion facility in San Jose, California via a company called Stem Express. In total, nine specimens were harvested from eight different aborted babies killed in abortions at that Planned Parenthood clinic and the purchase order reveals CSU bought two body parts, including an aborted baby’s liver.

In a press release, Rep. Lamborn said the following about H.R. 3215:

“Our nation has been shocked by the release of recent videos and documents exposing the horrific business of trafficking and profiting off of aborted babies body parts. We have been presented with a moment of great clarity. We can continue to obstruct the truth of this issue and continue down the path of death, destruction, and legal loopholes, or we can choose life.

My bill will put a stop to the horrifying practice of bartering for aborted babies’ body parts. We must stand up and speak out for those who cannot speak out for themselves. By ending this practice of trafficking in death, we can take real and significant steps toward healing the soul of our nation.”

As LifeNews previously reported, two videos from the Center for Medical Progress feature the Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, Dr. Savita Ginde. In the footage, Dr. Ginde explains how their affiliates can get away with selling aborted babies for research. She says, “Putting it under ‘research’ gives us a little bit of an overhang over the whole thing. If you have someone in a really anti state who’s going to be doing this for you, they’re probably going to get caught.”

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately

The Colorado Statesman reported that Rep. Lamborn wrote a letter to CSU President Tony Frank requesting more information about their purchase from Stem Express. He also asked that the university end research immediately and implement a policy that forbids such actions.

He said, “I also respectfully request that, should it be true that the policy of Colorado State University permits the purchase or acquisition of aborted babies’ body parts for experimentation or for other purposes, Colorado State University immediately revoke any such policy and thereafter refrain, cease and desist from any further purchases of aborted babies’ body parts.”

CSU responded and said that they can limit the university’s use of fetal tissue. Additionally, Franks said that they will “seek alternatives to aborted fetal tissue sources” and ask vendors for “all available information regarding the source of fetal tissue.” He said, “With this information, our institution and researchers can continue to assure that when research is conducted, we do so meeting our ethical standards.”

However, Rep. Lamborn argues that CSU’s response isn’t sufficient. He explained, “These steps are definitely headed in the right direction. However, they simply aren’t far enough. I call on President Frank to commit to no longer using aborted babies’ body parts in research. There are profound ethical, moral, and legal questions with this practice that deeply trouble many Coloradans.”

The Kenyan boy in the Rainbow Palace will veto it. He thinks that butchering American babies is a good idea. It’s the “unaccompanied” illegal alien babies he likes. They tend to become DemocRAT voters.

Yep. Typical Republican crap. The law that banned it to begin with is apparently crap. It's funny that on the video they were concerned with being caught. They were caught. They'll probably get an increase in funding.

It would not surprise me if the final gruesome video shows the execution of a baby that was born alive...and the dissection of the corpse to harvest organs to sell.

I wonder what will be the reaction to such a video by the MSM?

Will they support Planned Parenthood with an excuse such as “The fetus was not viable, not wanted, and therefore not worthy of protection as a human life”

I just bet they will.

How have we fallen so far?

We all need to pray.

Yes

The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2). Federal law also requires that no alteration in the timing or method of abortion be done for the purposes of fetal tissue collection (42 U.S.C. 289g-1).

I don’t know why they’re writing a new LAW - there’s already a law on the books outlawing such a practice.

Nobody has the guts to enforce it.

Here is how we fight this:

Call up each of your two U.S. senators, and tell them that, as long as they continue to fund PP, you will no longer be filing a federal tax return ... That you will take the maximum exemptions and then not file a return. If every pro-life conservative made such a call, and then FOLLOWED THROUGH, these jerks would finally get the message. Of course, failing this peaceful tactic, there is always civil war.
