Ricketts family gives more than $5 million to Walker super PAC

The Ricketts family sweepstakes are over and Scott Walker has won handily, according to Republicans familiar with Unintimidated, the super PAC supporting the Wisconsin governor and presidential candidate.

Federal election filings will soon show that billionaire investor Joe Ricketts and his wife, Marlene, have together given $5 million to the Walker-allied group — a significant haul from one of the GOP’s biggest donors.

Their son, Todd, is another Walker donor and co-chairman of his national fundraising efforts. In recent months he has hosted events for the governor and traveled with him on the campaign trail.

Federal filings will also show donations to other GOP contenders, including former Florida governor Jeb Bush, Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Ted Cruz (Tex.), and Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.), among others. But Walker’s take far exceeds his rivals, Republicans said.

dear Ricketta family,

You can spread your silly money all over the political field, if the report is genuine, but money alone does not define the person that the country needs to pull it’s butt out of the slide into Socialism, which your financial recipients have opined naught.

In fact, with your injection of funds, all those candidates have officially gathered ‘a case of Ricketts’.

NO! to the same old-same old.

Trump is willing to fund his primary campaign. It would make more sense for big-cash donors to save their money for the election of President Trump or for the campaigns of Constitutional Conservative candidates for other offices to oust supporters of Boehner and McConnell in primaries.

Scott Walker could then spend the next four years guiding the recovery of Wisconsin.

Um, Walker already transformed Wisconsin using pure conservatism. He will do the same for this nation.

So why can’t Walker spend four more years in Wisconsin? Why waste money on a primary fight when the money can be used for constitutional conservatives who could get rid of supporters of Boehner and McConnell? What is Walker’s hurry? He’s young, he can work with a President Trump to make the Wisconsin economy even better, and it’s hard to imagine Trump wanting to be President for more than four years.

Having a lot of money is NOT the key to becoming POTUS. Look at Donald Trump for example, certainly he has lots of money. Will that money make him president? It may/may not, its what the candidate brings to the table that will earn him such position.

In my eyes, the simple fact that you believe Trump is a conservative on all the issues invalidates your opinion about Walker.

Walker is the most thoroughly vetted and proven conservative in the primary. He has a track record that cannot be disputed. He implemented conservative principles in every way in Wisconsin.

But Trump's the one who can inspire the nation to be better. Don't you think it's a good argument that all of those millions being wasted on primaries could be much better spent getting rid of the slime who support Boehner and McConnell?

You do acknowledge they should be dumped in primaries, I assume. Think of those millions being spent to oust Boehner!

I think this is the guy........

Wiki excerpt
“John Joseph “Joe” Ricketts (born July 16, 1941) is an American businessman. He is the founder, former CEO and former chairman of TD Ameritrade, one of the largest online discount brokerages in the world, based in Omaha, Nebraska”

He lives in Jackson hole so he must be one of the good guys

First, I do appreciate Trump driving the issues (illegals) and his ability to steamroll the press.

I just know the man and he is not a conservative. Romney is more conservative than Trump.

But Trump is a good tool right now.

You seem very concerned about money and how people spend it. Let it go. More competition breeds excellence.

Lastly, I 1000% agree that Boehner & McConnell should be ousted in their primaries. Both must go. That is the best role for the Tea Party....to dump lousy Republicans in the primaries in favor of someone else. If that person is not good, then dump them next time.

It is too early to start ripping competitive Republicans not named John Ellis Bush. Trump is doing well, but if his ceiling is 30% in the primaries, we will have to see where the votes go when the Huckabees and Caseys fade. Cruz, Walker and Trump still have a role to play here. The folks who WON'T vote for Trump (for whatever reason) will have to park their vote somewhere. It must NOT be John Ellis Bush.

I agree that Jeb is the real enemy. If it's Jeb vs hillary, we've already lost. The debate will be telling. I would not support any candidate that is negative about Trump but silent or supportive of Jeb.

I'm thinking as I type. What about these potential candidates who've said negative things about Trump, but not Jeb? I have to assume they've played their hand.
