You and I are of a like mind on this one. Liberals (with reptile brains) cannot fathom the separation that is two perfectly logical positions from opposing perspectives. For some closet reptilian minded folks on FR, I'll explain:
From a constitutional governance perspective, the court ruling that essentially made law of legalized marriage in all states is unconstitutional. There is no provision in the constitution on which to base a decsision on the case. The court should have thrown out the case and, per the constitution, left it up to states to govern themselves or recommend a constitutional ammendment. The "Civil Rights" approach was bogus and should not have been recognized as "gay marriage" does not represent an "abuse" to a "protected class". The court ruling created a protected class and then decided that not allowing a behavior constituted abuse to that newly created class. That is my political belief as well.
PERSONALLY, I object for other social and religious reasons. If Scott Walker supports unions or marriages for personal reasons, then I don't care. His public service position is what concerns me when it comes to consideration of his candidacy for my vote. Then I have to contemplate whether I trust his statement relative to his position on the matter.
For the record, I have attended a "same Sex Union Ceremony". My attendance was requested and my acceptance was on a conditional basis which was respected. There was no reference to "marriage" or "religion" during the ceremony and it was not held at a religious venue. Both participants are close friends of ours. We are still close friends even though they are liberals. ;o)
No same-sex “married” couple is getting through my front door. I refuse to attend a same-sex “marriage”, because it’s impossible for two people of the same sex to get married.
I refuse to fall for the liberal lie that two queers can “get married”. I refuse to fall for the liberal lie that anal sex consumates a marriage or a lesbian strapping on a rubber dildo and pretending to have sex with another lesbian constitutes a marriage.
Seems to me like Scott Walker was too busy with politics when his sons were growing up. If he were any kind of man his two sons would not think queer “marriage” is normal behavior.
“If Scott Walker supports unions or marriages for personal reasons, then I don’t care.”

Let me guess. If Walker supported abortion too, then you wouldn’t care about that either.
“While I personally oppose ___________________, but it’s OK for someone else” is unconservative.
