Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has taken the GOP majority in the Senate to a new low. Not only are they committed to rubber-stamping Obamas agenda and ignoring his fundamental transformation of our values, economy, and national security, they are now passing bills that will undermine the next presidents ability to fight for limited government.
For example, last week, the House passed a 5-month extension of federal surface transportation programs. It contained $8 billion in bailout funds for the Highway Trust Fund. It also packed in phony offsets that will further empower the IRS. Needless to say, this bill incorporated no structural reforms to the grossly ineffective federal transportation system, nor did it include any cuts to mass transit and the multitude of existing wasteful programs.
But the only thing worse than short-term bad legislation is long-term legislation that locks in massive deficit spending and failed policies for six years. That is exactly what Mitch McConnell plans to do with the 1,030-page bill he just crafted with Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA).

He has doubled down on flipping off of the electorate who spoke in November 2014.
I believe that McConnell is compromised...probably like Denny Hastert.
Why is ever bill over 1,000 pages long? Do they triple-space or something?
These Republicans have shown themselves to be beyond despicable. They don’t hide their treason anymore.
Yet many rank-and-file Republicans seem willing to laugh it off and dismiss it all because, well, ‘The NSA really must have something juicy on them!’. Too many are willing to just accept it and move on.
“These Republicans have shown themselves to be beyond despicable. They dont hide their treason anymore.”
There seems to be a correlation between age and liberal thinking when it comes to politics. The longer Republicans are in Washington, the more liberal they become. Look at some of the major offenders:
Grassley 81
Hatch 81
Shelby 81
Inhofe 80
Roberts 79
McCain 78
Cochran 77
Alexander 75
McConnell 73
Coats 72
Enzi 71
Isakson 70
On the Dem side Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, Leahy, Sanders, Nelson, Durban and several others are over 70.
In addition to term limits, perhaps there should be mandatory retirement for politicians at age 70
Probably exactly like Denny Hastert
They are ALL political whores. Once they take the first buck they are not able to refuse anything or anyone. Aside from other things it is Trumps saving grace.”I’m really rich!”
Will McConnell buckle under due to the whiff of rebellion in the Senate?
In related news, Senator Cruz will likely be relocated to a new office — in a small, rusting metal shed several hundred feet behind a porta-potty. Next to Mike Lee’s relocated office.

Other threads indicate that the Senate may try to end Obamacare with a 51-vote tactic.
If the whiff of revolt is strong, McConnell may be forced to let the vote happen. Otherwise, he will oppose it more fiercely than Reid would.

McConnell could find his majorityship short-lived. It would not take that many senate seat changes for him to be sent to the back of the Chamber. Dems are defending some 9 seats, whereas Pubbies have about 24 to defend. And the ‘natives’ are very upset at Boehner and McConnell’s leadership or lack thereof.
Ted Cruz correctly identified the leadership of congress as the “Washington Cartel” they are criminals and communists, they are the Progressive Liberal Democrat/Rino Communist Uni-Party.
Boldly battling the enemy without and within... CRUZ 2016!
Nah, its all about money. That’s all its ever about now to this soulless party beholden to corporate lobbyists.
The last six months have removed all doubt.
They also have absolutely no interest in social issues. Hence soulless.
Grassley, Inhofe and Enzi are pretty good conservatives.
There is no discernible difference now than when the Dems were in charge. Oh wait that’s because they still are.
