He’s not groveling. He’s throwing him a poisoned bone.

He has no need to appease Bibi, who at this point can only complain.

This is more a quintessential “I did it my way” Obama move. He’s doing it because he can.

Because espionage against the United States is ok with Baraq as long as it achieves a political goal.

Pollard is a traitor and releasing him is typical for Obama.

Not groveling at all. It is a carrot held out until November so the Iranians get the Russian and U.S. Defense systems in place to prevent Israel from hitting Iranian nukes. It is an attempt to put political pressure on Netanyahu in Israel. All this does is prove how much they fear an Israeli strike.

Obama will then once again announce he is Israel’s best friend they ever had in the white house.

Okay. Instead of having him rotting in prison, we’re sending him home to Israel, where he’s going to get nuked.

Y’all don’t understand politics. In politics two wrongs make a right. And also something about cannoli and a gun.

He ALSO spied for freaking PAKISTAN.

He accepted payment.

After offending Israel in so many vicious and wanton ways, the way Obama comforts Israel is by slapping a DAGGER in Lady Liberty’s BACK.

DISGUSTED.

He’s 60 now and spent the last 28 years in prison.

As if releasing a dying spy after decades can possibly make up for Israel’s future destruction at the hands of Imam Obama Al-Husseini

The Obama administration is preparing to release convicted Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard, according to U.S. officials, some of whom hope the move will smooth relations with Israel in the wake of the Iran nuclear deal

Pollard is a traitor and should not be released.

Release Pollard - to Gitmo. Tell the other inmates who the new guest is, and let them take exercise time together.

Maybe Obama doesn't want an Israeli spy in our prison when he goes to war as Iran's ally against Israel? I'm trying to think of why. What does Obama free himself from by releasing an Israeli before the treaty to defend Iran from Israel starts?

Must be time to start raising money from Jews.

Too bad Bush didn’t release him. HE HAD 8 YEARS TO DO SO...but he left that weapon for Obama, along with many other weapons.

It’s a two-fer-it doesn’t give Israel anything substantial in the way of theor security concerns, and it’s a slap in the face to Americans.

FROM WIKIPEDIA:

Intelligence officials contend that at least some of the information purchased from Pollard ended up in the Soviet Union.[9] His motives, they argue, were monetary, not idealistic or patriotic.[9] He stole classified documents related to China that his wife used to advance her personal business interests.[11] He admitted shopping his services to countries other than Israel.[12] There is evidence that he sold classified information to South Africa, and attempted to do so with Pakistan.[12] He also attempted to broker arms deals with South Africa, Argentina, Taiwan, Pakistan, and Iran.[9]

. . . in June 1984 Pollard started passing classified information to Sella. He was paid $10,000 cash and given a very expensive diamond and sapphire ring, which Pollard later offered to his girlfriend Anne when proposing to her. Pollard was paid well by the Israelis: he received a salary that eventually reached twenty-five hundred dollars a month, and tens of thousands of dollars in cash disbursements for hotels, meals, and jewelry. In his pre-sentencing statement to Judge Robinson, Pollard said the money was a benefit that was forced on him. “I did accept money for my services,” he acknowledged, but only “as a reflection of how well I was doing my job.”
