If his primary opponents stuck to substantive criticism, there wouldn’t be a problem.

Calling a primary opponent a “jackass” as referring to his supporters as “crazies” is not substantive criticism.

Bingo! Some on here say they would never vote for Trump. I wonder if they would vote for one of the other RINOs? Seems they will if it comes down to that. But, for me - no way! I have three I like, and if none of them get the nomination - I will sit out the election.

Sorry, but Rove’s tactics of DESTROYING people that are against Open Borders may have worked with Cain and Senate Republicans, but it WILL NOT WORK against Trump.

Either Trump will be treated with RESPECT in this Primary season, or there will simply be no national Republican Party for Rove to dish out dollars for after 2016. It’s up to you guys now.

This is not my promise, it is TRUMP’S PROMISE, and he has the means to effect it.

Trump is just a thinner Chris Christie - remember when we loved that guy because he yelled loudly at people we don’t like? Let’s not be fooled twice.

I had the exact same thought. The empty can rattles the most.

We need less Alan Grayson and more Calvin Coolidge.

Wrong. Perot moved in and out of the race whenever Bush showed a chance of winning. Perot elected Bill Clinton and here we are today with an Obama.

Would he make a good President?

I remember that question in the first election when Reagan was elected. The answer was that Reagan knew his strengths and weaknesses, and would bring in excellent advisors and govern well with them.

So, my answer would be, for sure, Trump will be a great President. With the personal contact he's had with talented people all over the world, nobody could put together a greater team to maybe save the US than he can.

The question should be, "The US is in such horrible decline, can even Trump save us?"

A Bush gave us Clinton. And a Bush gave us Obama.

Blaming Perot for the failures of the GOP is self-delusion at best.

How did you make the jump from Clinton to Obama? We had 8 years of GWB between them. You really should do some research about Ross Perot and GHWB. Perot hated him from when he worked in the Reagan administration. Yes, Perot worked in the Reagan administration. GHWB stabbed him in the back, and he went after him to defeat him. Some people don’t take kindly to back stabbers. It had to do with POWs and the soldiers MIA which Perot was in charge of in some way or another. I’d have to go back and dig up the actual articles. But, it is on the internet.

Ross Perot elected Bill Clinton TWICE by running 3rd party.

Total BS.

Also, yesterday Trump was a Hillary Trojan horse, but two days ago he was a Nigerian scam.

In order for history to repeat itself, the GOPe need to coronate another Bush as their squishy RINO candidate.

"I’d give the election a pass before voting for Trump."

Better Trump than Jeb "Act of Love" Bush and better Cruz than either of them.

Bush never showed a chance of winning. His pre-election polling never got much above 38%, even after Perot dropped out.

This goes against what he said the other day. I'd like to hear this straight from the horses mouth not what some “exclusive” reporter says he said. Reporters don't always tell the truth I've noticed.

If the RNC tries to throw the election to the democrats it might be a a good card to hold in his hand. Although I doubt I'd vote third party. Unless Sarah Palin agreed to be his VP. Then I might consider it.
