hoosiermama is right, he said this morning he is supposed to be honored by the Border Patrol for bringing attention to their situation down there. He was on Fox this morning and had some pretty good comments, but that was his announcement about this trip. He said he would be flying down soon, maybe today but didn’t give a specific schedule.

He also surprised me and didn’t attack Rubio for saying we need someone in the oval office with class, implying that Trump has none. He simply said Rubio and Fiorina were both good people. To her credit, Fiorina didn’t jump on the bash Trump bandwagon, her comments were mostly positive and sounded like she agrees with his assessment of the Republican party and politicians in general but in language that was less harsh and controversial. But it was clear she feels the same as Trump, we have politicians in DC who say a lot and do nothing. And said as much.

And that brings me to the one thing that bothers me about Trump, I’m thinking he should not stoop to the bickering and name calling others are doing, effectively bringing himself down to their level. Hit back, but do it with tact. As far as I’m concerned, that’s his one fault, he needs to be more tactful.

I say let Trump be Trump. He is the one getting the results. Let’s see what he does. So far so good.

Fiorian is a master at handling the press. Would be so interesting to have a Trump/Fiorina ticket...slogan would be "Let's Get Back to Business in America"

RE “...Hit back, but do it with tact. As far as I’m concerned, that’s his one fault, he needs to be more tactful...”

Respectfully inclined to disagree with you there, Pete. I’m thinking it’s WAY past time for the giant middle finger to come out, and he’s the one to do it.

THink about it this way - the RINO establishment and the Dems have been giving US the middle finger for quire a while now.

Trump, while still about and being himself, is speaking for “the little guy” right now and shoving that middle digit in their faces. And they’re hating him for it.

You can’t help but love that fact... and welcome to Free Republic.

It’s way past time to be polite, respectful, and tactful with people who are ready to give up everything our ancestors fought and died for, for votes they’re not going to get anyway.

He is doing a good work by putting a light on illegal immigration.

He was for the auto bailouts, though, and I frankly am disturbed by his lack of humility (though he is honest) when he says he hasn’t asked God for forgiveness....I pray he is awakened to the truth that his soul will last into eternity.

All his success on this side of the dirt will be worthless then—unless he turns to Christ.

I see these rich people (and know some) and my soul aches. Just as when I see very poor people who have empty souls and are searching for meaning in drugs and other anodynes....I believe driven, successful folk also do this, except on a socially acceptable level. Heck, I do it too.

All of us are without hope, though, unless we turn to our Creator in repentance.

Now that he has shown that he is capable of fighting, he probably won’t have to. Bullies get real cautious once their noses have been bloodied.

This is all about image. He is meeting with the border pateol union to get their point of view. But he is also acting the role.
