Depressed!? Based on what? His family came out with the “depressed” defense a few days after the shooting. Of course, who would be able to verify that information? A therapist, hospital or doctor wouldn’t have given out this information due to HIPAA regs. Supposedly, he was a minor when treated, anyway. It is most certainly not a valid excuse to commit a mass murderer, regardless. In my opinion, the family is trying to look sympathetic; I would almost bet they were “advised” within their “community” to put that claim out there.
