No immediate damage from Trumps hero comment.
The Monmouth University Poll of likely Iowa Republican caucusgoers finds Scott Walker in the lead and Donald Trump in second place. The poll did not find any significant change in support for Trump in interviews conducted after his comments about John McCains military service. The poll also found that Bobby Jindal makes his way into the second tier of candidates, doing better in Iowa than in the national polls.
When Iowa Republicans are asked who they would support in their local caucus, Scott Walker is the first choice of 22% followed by Donald Trump at 13%. The next group of candidates includes Ben Carson (8%), Jeb Bush (7%), Ted Cruz (7%), the 2008 Iowa winner Mike Huckabee (6%), Marco Rubio (5%), Rand Paul (5%), and Bobby Jindal (4%). Rick Santorum (3%) who won the Iowa caucuses in 2012 Rick Perry (3%), and Carly Fiorina (3%) are tied for 10th place. The rest of the field garners no more than 2% of the vote as a first choice, including John Kasich (2%), Chris Christie (1%), George Pataki (<1%), Lindsey Graham (0%), and Jim Gilmore (0%). Another 11% of likely caucusgoers are undecided.

Just think what Cruz’s numbers would be if Rove hadn’t hired Gomer and Sweater Vest to run against him.

Exactly.
This will help Trump. The more of the right enemies he collects, the stronger he is going to get.
Walker’s the man to beat. He’s a great candidate.
Thank God Walker is leading. I was a little worried after reading some stuff here from Walker haters. Glad reality is being brought into the picture. Why I listen to Walker haters is beyond me.....stupid on my part. Great job Scott........
Walker leads Iowa caucus poll.
FReep mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
ROTFLMAO.........you are too funny. Oh the excuses you give to your poor candidate is hilarious. Anything to let you sleep well at night. You are a trip.....I am so glad you are here.
Look!
Steam is coming out of the ears of the Media and GOPelites!
A couple more polls showing little-to-no damage to Trump, and Media/GOPelites’ heads will be exploding by mid-week.
mccain burned through whatever respect his service carried over to politics a long time ago. I am thankful for his service, but that’s not enough to overcome decades of destroying this country.
HAHAHAHA....Even with Huckster and Santorum added to Cruz, he STILL loses to Walker........lol. You guys make me laugh. You will excuse everything for Cruz except point out that Cruz’s campaign sucks and hasn’t done anything for months to gain in the polls.....of course polls are not accurate......lol.
I think the left underestimates Walker like they did Reagan 35 years ago..
why is Chris Christie running again?.. free Iowa BBQ buffets?
: ) you got that right
It is pure pleasure to watch them bitch and moan
Meanwhile........ go Scott
I lived in Iowa half my life and worked on two presidential campaigns and county party politics. Anyone who says they can predict the Iowa caucuses (remember, this isn’t a primary) based on July polling should also be able to show us the next Microsoft and Apple. Do you even know what a caucus consists of?
Personally, I like Walker .... even with his flip flopping on immigration.
I just don’t believe he will win. I favor Cruz but I don’t believe he will either.
Right now, I am not willing to throw all my support behind any of them.
Why would Trump be affected? Let’s see. Hillary is a serial felon in the making and she is married to a serial rapist. Bush is part of a dynasty that expects a coronation. The rest of the hounds are part of the establishment way as we are seeing more and more.
Let’s not forget McCain who married into money and has done nothing for his constituents for about 20 years. McCain attacks his constituents , the crazies, and Trump gives him a bloody nose in response.
In comes Trump a self made man who has re-married a few times, who does not drink or smoke, and has learned to make a lot of money and says what is obvious and they want us to believe Trump is the bad guy while all the would be Dracula-like candidates are angels in waiting. Wow! No wonder this election cycle is a mess.
Yes they do, I should know, I am surrounded by liberals. They think he is too “ugly” and “stupid” to ever get near the oval office. The truth is he has the best shot of anyone including Hilldawg in 2016 but anything can happen and Trump is strong too. Immigration is going to be key and Jeb may as well get out now.
Yes it saved us from President Clinton the last 8 years.........I understand what you are saying but for you to say that Rove is paying to have two candidates running who are actually good people is ridiculous.
Oh gosh......who do you think will win? I don’t think Trump has a chance....he is our Newt this round multi-marriages and all. Rubio I THOUGHT a few months ago. Bush????? Very boring candidate. Huckster and Santorum.....no. I just can’t see anyone but Walker and only because of his fight with unions and accomplishments which next to other candidates is even more pronounced. Normal people (we are way to personal in politics) will like Walker’s results I think. Of course Republicans are in trouble anyway because we have a tough road to win 270 especially compared to the Dems. Also we have not won a Presidential election by a big margin since 1988....that is kinda scary.
