The US Military has today ordered active duty military personnel to remove military insignia from their cars, houses, etc. It must be done by 1700 today.
I’m suspicious of this one too. There is no link and searching like terms on the internet generates nothing except old stories. I don’t think the military can tell you what to have on or in your home if you live off base.
There is an American flag circa 1812, black with a skull and crossed bones on it, maybe the Gadsden slogan. I should have but ought it when I saw it, in the Atlanta Cutlery catalog I think.
I’m going there to check on it. It suits my mood, like Animal House’s “Eat Me” float.
This does not pass the initial smell test. By the time any “active duty lieutenant” gets the word on anything, the topic will have been out in the public domain for days. Besides, DOD isn’t capable of making any major decision this quickly, let alone acting upon it.
Any secondary confirmation of this?
I’m not seeing that from my sources.
BS.
Post order.
Or you’re a troll.
Found it. It’s the Battle of Plattsburgh (Lake Champlain) flag. “Thy Will Be Done”, thirteen stars, coiled rattlesnake, “Don’t tread on me”, black with deaths head.
After surrendering once, the Redcoats came back and we were sick and tired of dealing with them.
Kinda like now.
I remember going into a bank. There was a short line outside to be screened by a guard, an elderly man with an Uzi in his lap. The old guy looked me over, checked my plastic shopping bag (just groceries) and waved me in. Once inside there were three late teen girls waiting ahead of me to see the teller. All had slung M-16s .
Imagine if our idiotic U.S. security apparatus (think TSA) had to make the thinking-required distinction as that guard did, namely that certain people, even with serious weaponry, pose no threat; others need to be kept the hell out; and the rest need to open the grocery bag before going in.
It's THIS THREAD.
The pussification of America and the formerly armed forces continues.
Thanks for the news, El Tee.
Don’t mind the crazies. Something’s been going around since the early ‘90s and appears to be saturating civilian land even more recently (especially many talkative Internet users).
So follow insignia discipline. It’s the tacticool thing to do. Do it for your family and for us: your fellow Americans. Be ready. Go a step further. Slouch and bebop a little when among civilians. Drop the military bearing except when on duty.
And for laughs, insights and wisdom, check out Chinese movies with “Beggar Su” at YouTube—totally tacticool.
PS: They started having us do similar discipline regarding wearing uniforms out in the world over 20 years ago. It’s time to go further with it.
It’s about time in my opinion. I worked at an Air Force base for eighteen years. The base sticker was huge an painted an enormous target on your vehicle. It’s just basic operational security. Marines without guns is about as unnatural as you can get though.
Semper Fi.
Ever posted in a bottle, haz mat?
Exactly.
And neither do you.
All we have is an unsourced post from someone who has held a "sleeper account" for five years.
I think that's worth bringing to the attention of the Mods.
I'm happy to let them figure it out.
BTTT .....
I guess they had better take the word “Police” off of Police Cars.
Removing Military Insignia inside the Borders of our own Country? How far we have fallen.
Sounds like the Government thinks it’s easier to Capitulate than to stand and fight, just like the Iran Deal.
Trust but Verify.
In this case with a One Post record, I can’t say that I even Trust.
Something is Fishy, could be an Aquatic Troll.
