Gun free zone sign on the front door. Even the Mail mentioned that on one of their photos.

Any rifle above .22 is “high powered” to the media. Accuracy of information is not required ,and has not been for years.

I generally agree with you but what is your definition of high powered rifle?

Where I grew up anything beyond .22 LR or WMR or .17 or pistol cartridges in a long rifle

Was considered high powered rifle

Deer hunting cartridge more or less

No, indeed. My kids used to shoot my SKS and a semi-auto AK clone from the hip when they were little. Blow away dirt clods and beer cans. Very cushy and comfortable. Went through a thousand rounds of East German surplus ammo in no time flat.
