Wisconsin court ends probe of presidential hopeful Scott Walker

The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Thursday ended a secret investigation into whether Republican Gov. Scott Walker's campaign illegally coordinated with conservative groups in winning his 2012 recall election.

The court's action is a major victory for Walker as he pursues the presidency, though one expert said prosecutors could appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. No one has been charged in the so-called John Doe probe, Wisconsin's version of a grand jury investigation where information is tightly controlled, but questions about the investigation have dogged Walker for months.

The case centers on political activity conducted by Wisconsin Club for Growth and other conservative organizations during the 2012 recall, which was spurred by Democrats' anger over a Walker-authored law that effectively ending collective bargaining for most public workers.

It’s what the Left does - keeps their opponents tied up in court (using tax payer money to destroy conservatives).

Chisholm won’t have a penny to pitch by the time this is over.

“...questions” have not “dogged” Walker.
Anyone with half a brain could see the leftist politics behind the investigation.

Republicans must be squeaky clean.....Democrats can lie, cheat and steal. We are paying a mighty price for the Left’s takeover of our Education system and Big Media.

Not really a surprise, since two of the Justices were also being investigated.

For those not familiar, this is the case where partisan (to put it mildly) DA’s battered down doors at 4AM with guns drawn to look for evidence of campaign funding collusion.

And that isn’t criminal. Yes it is.

It’s about time! John Doe probe of Walker is over. (And all this time they denied that this was even happening.)

FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.

Wow, what a slanted reporting of this huge win for Walker.

The correct response to anybody who criticizes this decision is: Oh, so you support Gestapo style pre-dawn military raids on innocent persons, just as long as its liberals doing it?

Really?

Why not give us a run down on on which justices were being investigated with your sources because the investigations in fact had nothing to do with Walker nor SSC justices except in the fever swamps of the left blogs.

Or maybe you’re OK with the limiting of free speech based on political point of view?

Now we need to tally up the taxpayer cost for this witch hunt.

So, Chisholm, how much taxpayer money did you urinate away on this four+ year vendetta? Is your wife still crying?

Whose probing the probers?

The organizers of this witch hunt need to arrested.

The judges were receiving money for their elections from the same organizations that were under investigation. If you want to research it, knock yourself out. Unless SCOTUS takes it up, it is over.

Coordination, not collusion (I used the wrong word, sorry). The probe got six convictions but they were minor, basically trivial. The idea that a secret probe should allow gunpoint searches for evidence is an anathema to democracy.

Research it?

Hell I lived it here in Milwaukee for the last 5 years. Yours is the attempts we heard daily from lefties when they didn’t get their way.

Do yourself a favor and quit regurgitating spoon fed leftist talking points...you sound more like posters over at Althouse when they don’t end up “getting” Walker.

So where do I go to get my reputation and my money back!

Smear merchants of the LEFT! How long will we be ruthlessly intimidated and harassed by them.

Wisconsin was just a knock off of the IRS abuse.

The IRS SCANDAL was a WHITE HOUSE POTUS directed attempt to criminalize the political voices of opposition. WHY IS NO ONE IN JAIL!?
