These gutless people like Tom Petty really offend me. Oh, it was fine to wave a Confederate flag around and make money off it. But now that it’s a liability, Petty would not wipe his shoes on it. I’m not a fan of that particular flag; guys waving it shot at my great-great grandfather and tried to kill him. (Of course, he shot back.) But while I expect people to lie, I can’t stand a hypocrite no matter what flag he flies.
Mr. Petty is aptly named, methinks.
