It's not like the country belongs to liberals... the United States belongs to all Americans. If we ALL want the country divided it's legal.

Pass an amendment - have it ratified by two-thirds of the States ... Write it up - send it down...

Liberals don't want to live with us anymore than we want to live with them. It's a win for both sides. A nice long term solution...

Democrats would love having a country made up of white liberal elites, blacks, illegals, dependent women, and union leaders. It would be heaven for them.

A dream come true -- dreams of their fathers... dreams of the 'dreamers'... dreams of delusions and madness... Every city could be a sanctuary city - every police force stripped of power, every 'program' funded...

And for us - just being away from them would be reward enough... Democrats will join us for this one.... both sides want out - this is a winnah!

And then there is the approach of accommodation outside the marriage. Kind of like acceptance on the one hand, but living your life as best you can outside the marriage. In case you couldn’t tell, this is the alternative I favor.

Except the other party in the dispute is not going to be leaving us alone. As Erick Erickson over at Red State is fond of saying: "You will be made to care."

It would be nice if we could all "live and let live"; but, the progressives will not allow that. They will not leave you or I alone. We must comply.

Remember, the Gays started out telling us that they just wanted to be left alone to live their lives. Well, how has that worked out? It is a preview of what to expect from the Left. They are never satisfied, they never stop, they never run out of causes, they never will let you live your life. You must accept, and more, you must celebrate. So, I agree with wanting to wait it out; I'm just not sure that the current population of the U.S. will allow anyone to exist who doesn't agree with their POV.

I'm not sure how they would let the good people in, and the bad people out with out strict borders and immigration control.

There would be no need to allow the bad ones to leave.

You forgot Wyoming. Which, until the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, parts of which were in Texas, including the capital city of Cheyenne.

Canada is never going to let Quebec secede....and Scotland is a country ,as is Ireland.

Don't think Quebec; think British Columbia and Alberta.

Native Texans love their country, but they love Texas more. We were a Republic long before we became a state. It is in our blood. It is our heritage.

U.S. Constitution, Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.

And, when the republican form of government is replaced with a judicial dictatorship, and when an invasion by approximately 1/20th of the population of Mexico is permitted to occur, the constitutional promise is broken; and the contract from which that promise was derived becomes null and void, abrogated and moot.

Starting with this part: We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Accordingly, the former United States of America, deriving its legitimate authority and powers from the promises of limitations of government within that constitution, ceases to be. And the people of the territories formerly so governed are thereby welcome to reinstitute those provisions within their own jurisdictions, or to try to put together something that will be more permanent and to which both citizens and officeholders can and will remain faithful.

Of course the de facto government will proclaim that it is still legitimate. So did Hitler's government.

While I personally do not believe a secession movement will gain any traction, should there be a groundswell of support for the idea, we may see the full weight of the Leftists come down hard upon them - and they must be prepared for that: MSM, social media, the activist judiciary, and the Executive Branch as a whole.

Which is exactly why the image of the flag of the Confederacy terrifies them so.

Long may it wave!

Info in that one talks about the group having its own courts.

Shades of the “sovereign citizens “ movement.
