Jurist ignores physicians, orders more counseling for Dinesh

Conservative scribe Dinesh D’Souza has to perform a lot more community service for breaking campaign-finance laws than he thought, with a federal judge saying Monday that D’Souza has to do eight hours each week for the entire five years he’s on probation and not just the eight months he was confined to a halfway house. The judge also read aloud a report from a court-appointed psychologist who calledD’Souza “arrogant”and “intolerant of others’ feelings.”

Powerhouse defense attorney Ben Brafman was surprised when Manhattan federal court Judge Richard Berman clarified the sentence he handed down after D’Souza pleaded guilty last year, which means D’Souza will have to do over 1,600 hours more service than he initially thought. “We’re talking about five years of eight hours a week? … This is a very serious impediment to obtaining full-time employment because you miss one day of work a week,” Brafman said in the conference inside Berman’s robing room, as D’Souza listened in silently via speakerphone.

“In my mind it was never contemplated that the eight hours only applied to the period of home confinement,” Berman said, later reading out a report from a psychologist who saw D’Souza and then ordering him to continue attending weekly sessions. “The client tends to deny problems and isn’t very introspective,” the psychiatrist wrote. “The client tends to deny problems and is arrogant and intolerant of others’ feelings.”

D’Souza — the maker of the anti-President Obama film “2016: Obama’s America” — did hear some good news during the proceeding. So long as D’Souza stays on track with his community service, he will be allowed to visit his daughter in London and his elderly mom in India later this year, Berman said.

D’Souza pleaded guilty last year to illegally shelling out $20,000 in contributions in the name of others for Republican Wendy Long’s failed 2012 bid to defeat Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).

Brafman waived D’Souza’s appearance at the conference as he lives in California.

Liberals are insane, the judge needs a check up from the neck up. I would say to fight this unfairness further, but then it might end up before the Supreme Court which is as corrupted by Obama worship as this imbecilic judge.

Take the country back!

What’s surprising here is that they have not ordered his execution . . . not yet.

Spooky story filled with Soviet-style shrinks. He’ll come out looking like Jack Nicholson at the end of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

He marginally violated a law pertaining to political donations, and that draws “psychiatric examinations” and his sentence is built on a diagnosis if “arrogance and insensitivity?” What the f**k??

This dying country is morphing into the Soviet Union more each day.

Didn’t Justice Kennendy say that “At the heart of liberty is the right to define one’s own concept of existence”?

Clearly he needs additional time in a re-education camp to eradicate his poor attitude towards Our Glorious Leader.

I’ll give 10 to 1 odds the court “psychiatrist” voted for Obama.

This judge must be recalled. He is obviously a vindictive idiot.

Re-education camps are a Soviet tool.

That’s exactly what it is a reeducation camp.

You disagree with us you will be reeducated.

If you can’t be reeducated you will be declared insane.

When the insane become too many and impossible to control they are exterminated.

This is crap.
But, look at the bright side:
The more they persecute him, the juicier his next book/movie will be.
(Which, I believe, is exactly why the persecution continues)

Probably pissed the judge off when he used his community service to teach immigrants English & enlighten them politically. They all got a copy of his movie, too. If the judge is going to continue to be a stinker and persecute Dinesh, I think Dinesh needs to continue using his 8 hours a week continuing his teaching activities.

http://www.salon.com/2015/06/09/dinesh_dsouza_boasts_to_fox_news_im_using_my_community_service_hours_to_indoctrinate_immigrants_against_obama/

In an “exclusive” interview on “The Kelly File” last night, host Megyn Kelly spoke to the recently released Dinesh D’Souza about his time in prison, during which he confessed to using his community service to indoctrinate non-native speakers into conservative ideology.

“I wasn’t trying to convert the guys in prison,” D’Souza replied, “because remember, they can’t vote. It’s my students — I’m teaching English to Hispanics, about 100 students, and I will say that at the end of my eight months, if you took a vote among students between me and Barack Obama, I don’t think Obama would get a single vote.”

No surprises here: Wiki

Judge Richard Berman appointed by Clinton.

He also received a Master of Social Work from Fordham University in 1996. He went into private practice at Davis Polk & Wardwell before becoming an executive assistant to United States Senator Jacob Javits in 1974. He served in this capacity until 1977, when he was named Executive Director of the New York State Alliance to Save Energy. A year later, he was appointed General Counsel and Executive Vice President of the Warner Cable Corporation, a position he held until 1986, when he returned to private practice.

I'm sure if he could, he would sentence Dinesh to a re-education camp...

If arrogance and intolerance of others feelings is just cause to impose a harsh scheduling of community service on someone, Obama should spend the rest of his life doing it. Dinesh should carry out his volunteerism at the Heritage Institute.

What is the name of the “psychologist” ( re-education camp director)?

Isn’t it time that the licensing board be inundated with complaints against this political hack?
