Scouting has been a solid program for the young men for the LDS church. They run a separate program for the young women. I expect that they will break with the Scouts and run their own organization for the young men if the BSA tries to force gay leadership in an LDS ward. My middle son was part of a local troop sponsored by the local Catholic church. They had a bigger organization with depth in age that I found missing from the troop in my LDS ward. A ward of 500 people simply doesn't generate enough scouts from starting to senior age range. That limits opportunities to learn from older scouts and grow into leadership positions. What passed for a whole troop sponsored by an LDS ward was barely larger than a single patrol in my own scout troops. We usually had a patrol of 10 to 15 and 8 to 10 patrols in the troop.
It was April 1972 when I left my Eagle Board of Review with an approval at age 15. It is disconcerting to see what has happened in the intervening years.

If you really do want clean living, then it’s going to be next to impossible to maintain that with an association with a mixed BSA.

i predict LDS will mostly break away from BSA and implement a good scouting type program of their own for all their members so interested
The SDA church has its Pathfinders (scouting with a religious/moral instructional content .....so you can bet it doesn’t employ openly-homosexual troop leaders)
LDS and other churches will I predict do similarly now that BSA has gone off the rails
