WASHINGTON (AP) — Twitter says it's investigating a premature presidential announcement that popped up on Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's account Friday evening.

The message, which was quickly deleted, said, "Scott Walker is running for president."

Twitter spokesman Nu Wexler said later, "We're looking into today's issue, and we've determined the Walker team was not at fault."

I’d be hard pressed to explain just why, but I’m pretty much over considering Walker as an acceptable conservative candidate.

Cruz or lose ... it sounds better every day.

If Trump can assist in any way then more power to him.
And if it comes down to Hillary vs Trump... I’d crawl over broken glass to vote for Trump. (I just hope Cruz is his VP)

FEC regulations are triggered by a legitimate announcement.

Then you're a tool of a man who knows how to push your buttons and keep himself in the news.

That’s just not true.

Like you, I supported Perry and was eventually let down.

I’m sensing the same sort of letdown in Walker...I won’t be fooled again!

I respect your opinion, but I think I am right.

That seems a little harsh to me, something that I’d reserve for Bush, frankly.

I bear no love at all for Trump, but his usefulness at this point to me is how he is forcing the RINOs in this campaign to commit one way or the other on illegals and citizenship.

Forget this obfuscating ‘immigrant Hispanics’ criminality stuff; it’s designed to hide deep down support for allowing illegals get citizenship, period. Everybody and their brother knows what group Trump is talking about. Democrats and media are trying to confuse that with the righteous indignation of legal Hispanic citizens.

My personal view is that Trump will get bored or get what he wanted out of this and then move on to more lucrative endeavors. The last thing I’d want is for him to depart off on a course ala Perot. That would truly be disastrous. To that extent, I’m just gonna leave him alone and let it all burn out.

I don't go out of my way to "be harsh" but some reality needs to be brought to the table.

I agree with your assessment of Trump and wonder, will he put all his business and financial dealings out there before the 1st debate or will he fold his tent, satisfied that he's successfully promoted "The Donald" brand?

Actually, “bringing reality to the table” is what Trump is doing, regardless of his motives, character, ability or sustainability.

That very act is what has all the RINOs and Democrats upset. It’s upset their applecart and they fear this newfound bravado against illegals and the ills they bring meme will cost them cheap labor and Democrat votes.

Democrats. That’s my whole point. Vehement condemnation of Trump when he isn’t a sustained threat to this side is not a judicious tactic, IMO. Democrats would give us no credit for it, only use it against us later as they will anyway.

The worst thing this could do is piss him off to the point he says I’m going Perot. Then what would all this Trump concern get us? He is performing a limited valuable function right now and taking the heat from Democrats for it. We just need to sit back and let him get his jollies and then he’ll move on. Anybody that picks up a sword and lifts their kilts to the illegal loving Democrats and RINOs is doing a service.

“I’m pretty much over considering Walker as an acceptable conservative candidate.”...

You can certainly thank the media for assisting with your decision.

While I agree that Cruz still meets my choice, Walker would certainly be a good candidate for VP.

“Actually, “bringing reality to the table” is what Trump is doing, regardless of his motives, character, ability or sustainability.”.......

And it is LONG OVERDUE. He may not make it to POTUS but he damn sure is waking a lot of people up, as it should be.

His clear denunciation of illegals’ crimes as a group are forcing media, Democrats, and even RINOs to respond to undeniable problems with illegals by hiding them in their argumentative statistics of “immigrants” or Hispanics in general. By burying them in this larger group, they hide the truth about illegals.
