What’s Wrong with Donald Trump (by Pamela Geller)
Breitbart ^ | 07/10/2015 | Pamela Geller

Posted on 07/10/2015 9:40:29 AM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Donald Trump has catapulted to the top of the Republican Party Presidential polls because he saying in plain language what so many are thinking about immigration. Immigration is out of control, and even most Republicans are so afraid of the “Latino vote” that the immigration issue has become the third rail. But Trump has numerous weaknesses – notably a huge blind spot about the jihad threat, including a disturbing willingness to kowtow to jihadist intimidation and surrender the freedom of speech.

I believe it is true that Trump came out against that contest, “draw the prophet”.

That’s why in the end, we will have to see how Trump and everyone else does stack up on all of the issues.

Reading here and elsewhere and this appearance in Az. this weekend, there is certainly a euphoria about him currently. He must be in 7th heaven.

Personally, I think Trump’s hand grenade attack against the Uniparty will have the effect of clearing the way for Ted.

I mean it’s disgusting. Isn’t there something else they could be doing? Drawing Muhammad?…They can’t do something else? They have to be in the middle of Texas doing something on Muhammad and insulting everybody? What is she doing? Why is she doing it? It’s probably very risky for her — I don’t know, maybe she likes risk? But what the hell is she doing?

Is it just me? I mean I just crack up at this guy. Can you imagine what he will be saying if he gets pissed off at say - Canada or the Canadian ambassador or something? He's just off the rails crazy sometimes.

Every candidate is flawed in major ways. This is what happens to a country that has become enthralled with spectacle. We get spectacular clowns, frauds, and connivers.

Yep. And for the time being, Trump is taking the arrows, not Cruz.

Free Speech for me but not for thee??

Pam Geller From link:
After the jihad attack on our free speech event in Garland, Texas, Donald Trump fumed:

I think it’s terrible, and we have to act very strongly. But I will say, I watched Pam Geller prior, and it looked like she’s just taunting everybody. What is she doing drawing Muhammad?…And it looks like she’s actually taunting people — and it’s disgusting that it happened and everything else. But why are they doing [sic] drawing Muhammad? Isn’t there something else they can draw?”

He also said:

I mean it’s disgusting. Isn’t there something else they could be doing? Drawing Muhammad?…They can’t do something else? They have to be in the middle of Texas doing something on Muhammad and insulting everybody? What is she doing? Why is she doing it? It’s probably very risky for her — I don’t know, maybe she likes risk? But what the hell is she doing?”

Too many people want a candidate that they agree with 100%...which is stupid!

People on here can’t seriously believe Trump could be trusted right? We could cheer him for saying the right things on illegal immigration and crime, but he’s wrong on pretty much everything else.

I’m 61, and old enough to remember “free speech” in America.

Today (2015) one has free speech unless or until one is arrested. Sometimes I wonder why I haven’t been arrested, as I have no “governor” on my arse : )

I think you’re right. What Trump has done with his simple, loud, unpolitically correct statement is force the media to cover a big issue that we face, that they would have preferred to be kept under the rug.

Cruz has been smart (and I believe also sincere) in backing Trump. It’s a winning position. We don’t know where Trump is on a lot of other issues. He may very well flame out, at that point Cruz will be the beneficiary of Trump’s groundwork.

Look—there is something all of us can do to help America.

Call your Senators and Congressional reps and tell them that you want legislation to end sanctuary towns, cities and states, and if the places refuse to overturn their sanctuary policies, then not one dime of Federal money for anything.

We cannot have some laws followed and some not. That is anarchy.

Also demand a wall be physically built at the Mexican border.

14 years after 9/11 and 44 years after the war on Drugs began, we still have unlimited amounts of drugs and people coming across this border to our detriment.

www.senate.gov

www.house.gov

Look up your reps and call them.

They want this to blow over.

But 2016 is coming, and the entire House and one third of the Senate is up for re-election.

These clowns don’t give a damn about America as long as their pockets are lined, but the thing they fear most is being kicked out of DC and the access to the gravy train.

In another two weeks, they go away for all of August on their recess, and they hope like hell that you won’t be as pissed about the illegals when they come back.

We can’t just let one or two candidates fight the battle.

So get up and call.

And then make a donation to FreeRepublic—we are 10 days in and only at 10%. Every gift would be appreciated, and helps keep us connected.

I like Pam Gellar but questioning her actions is hardly a “jihad attack.”

Drama.

Geez Pam, does Trump have to do everything?
He isn’t a One Man Band.

He isn’t even in Office and he has no say in making our Laws and he cannot dictate Foreign Policy. He can only comment on it. Right now he is focused on Illegal Invaders and their impact on the economy and the Safety of American Citizens. They have killed more Americans than any Domestic Jihadist’s.

How about going after those in Government and have the Power who should be addressing the problems you are talking about.

I’m not even a Trump fan, but at least the Media is being forced to give him a Platform for his Views, something they NEVER do with Conservatives or Republicans unless they have a Foot in Mouth moment.

Of course, they did it because they think it makes Trump look like an “extremist”, but that has backfired on the Talking Heads Big Time.

It was risky for her. Trump was right. Pam received an increased amount of death threats due to that event.

Pam is terrific.

Most courageous woman on the planet.

I am hopeful Trump will see her true worth in due time.

He's just off the rails crazy sometimes.

Yeah, Trump is so off the rails that he's the sort who might make jokes about bombing Russia, or some other major international foe.

I disagree with Trump concerning Pamela Geller, but I don't recall many politicians speaking up for her.
