Since I drive on roads, I don’t mind paying the gas tax.
And 10 cents per year is less than $100 for my family. It’s not going to kill us.
(but some people in the Houston and Dallas areas now pay several thousand dollars in tolls per year [the alternative to raising the gas tax] - that would sting)

Ummm . . . Wasn’t there a lot of “stimulus” money that was supposed to pay for transportation projects a couple of years ago?
Anybody remember “shovel-ready” jobs?

It would raise the gas tax by about 10 cents-per-gallon, which would cost the average driver about $130 per year. It would be offset by a $133 income tax credit, so it's revenue-neutral. So people who DON'T DRIVE get the tax credit, but DRIVERS get the tax increase? No thanks.

RINOs growing already over-bloated government.

and it has not passed a transportation bill that lasts longer than two years in that spanAnd where is the accounting for the $286.4 billion signed by Bush in 2005? And where is the accounting for the billions in "stimulus" from 2009-2011?
NO MORE MONEY!!!

Yeap, I watched them install street lights with fabulous lamp posts and sidewalks along a 4 mile stretch of road no one walks on...
But they took a couple of years to do it. At least that company was stimulated.

Because only people below a certain income level would receive the credit........as usual.
You know that’s the way it would be. They never tell the whole truth.

If you are working more harder, then the taxes will only be more harder working for YOU.
