Major Job Cuts Expected at Microsoft [Obamanomics is Awesome, Ain't it Tech Worshipers?]

SEATTLE — Microsoft plans to announce a major new round of layoffs as early as Wednesday, as the company seeks to further cut costs in a shifting technology landscape.

The layoffs are in addition to the about 18,000 employees that Microsoft said it planned to let go a year ago, according to people briefed on the plans, who asked for anonymity because the details were confidential. The new job cuts are expected to affect people in Microsoft’s hardware group, among other parts of the company, including the struggling smartphone business that it acquired from Nokia last year in a $7.2 billion deal.

Yes, yes, I know I will hear "this is inevitable", and all about how Obama isn't to blame, etc. etc. etc.

My position is straight forward: the United States economy is in a shambles because of Obama's Death Panels, his refusal to allow the energy sector to grow, his abundance of regulatory overreach--the additonal rules on businesses everywhere stunts investment, and the feckless and failing foreign policy makes the USA a laughing stock in overseas markets.

So, overall, huge job losses of American citizens (and, sadly, I would bet most of these Microsoft employees were OBAMA SUPPORTERS) are due to the weakness of our entire economy.

Chickens are coming home to roost.

But hey, don't worry, folks:

Obama's net worth is $12.2 million...so he'll be just fine.

I thought the Dems said we needed to import more foreigners to do these jobs because Americans are too stupid to do them.

Amnesty loving Mark Zuckerberg won’t need immigrants now to find good tech people. There’s 18,000 more for you Mark.

"Microsoft plans to announce a major new round of layoffs as early as Wednesday, as the company seeks to further cut costs in a shifting technology landscape."

But homosexuals can now "marry" each other.
Obama's Supreme court said so.
The world is just fine.

"I thought the Dems said we needed to import more foreigners to do these job....."

Ted Cruz said that, and Trump.

The leftwing populists and rightwing populists are opposed to raising the H1B quota.

The rightwing corporatists and leftwing corporatists support raising the H1B quota.

The wise men say that the quota should rise when the economy expands and shrink when the economy contracts.

This really has nothing to do with the US economy. It is about the new CEO of Microsoft cleaning up a mess left to him by his predecessor. Almost all of these cuts are going to be outside the US.

Gotta make room for more Indians. It wouldn’t do to have an American doing a job that an Indian can claim to do.
