Illegal Felon in San Francisco Killing Pleads Not Guilty(has only 2nd grade education)

A convicted felon who had been deported five times from the United States to Mexico pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to first degree murder in a San Francisco shooting that has spawned passionate debate about the city's immigration policies.

Juan Francisco Lopez Sanchez, 45, was charged with murder on Monday for last week's apparently random shooting of 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle. He denied guilt in English and Spanish several times during Tuesday's brief court hearing.

"He has a second grade education and many of the legal nuances and the legal ramifications that attend to the circumstances of this case are beyond his current comprehension," public defender Matt Gonzalez told reporters.

The incident also highlighted the long-standing "sanctuary city" policy in San Francisco, one of dozens of U.S. cities that limit assistance to federal immigration authorities aiming to apprehend or deport individuals.

Such laws were rooted in shielding Central and Southern American refugees from deportation in the 1980s.

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee on Monday defended the policy as allowing immigrant families to access city services without fear of being reported to federal authorities, not as a shield for violent or repeat criminals.

7 felonies, and hiding behind a sanctuary city law that allows 'refugees' from Central Amereica to remain? Kills a woman with gun from a federal agent?

What is possibly wrong with this? Should we continue to feel sorry for him because he does not understand 'nuances of the law'?

Well I say this time we deport him for good. Fly him over Mexico and forget to give him a parachute before “dropping him off”.

This is the “highly skilled” underclass the open border lobby wants to allow to stay here.

This needs to be made into a watershed moment for this country.

A second grade education means nothing.

He does not have the mentality of a 2nd grader. He's learned a lot over the years...and he knows how to paly the system.

Fool me once...shame on you. Fool me 5 times...what can I say.

OMG, my first-grader knows (as did my six kids before her) that you aren't supposed to shoot people.

"He has a second grade education and many of the legal nuances and the legal ramifications that attend to the circumstances of this case are beyond his current comprehension,"

Horse crap....

Every human being knows killing someone is immoral regardless of their level of education...

The exception to that rule is a brain washed jihadist or a psychopath, but I repeat myself...

Since he pleaded "not guilty" I would think he understands the "nuances and the legal ramifications" of what he did...

“He denied guilt in English and Spanish several times during Tuesday’s brief court hearing.”

This is what happens when people give up their liberties to “big brother” gubmints. The crime never shouldda happened because the illegal shouldda been jailed under hard labor and not allowed to live in the same space as law abiding citizens. Everything about this incident is just wrong. Even down to minute details like the guy pleading innocent. Innocent of what? And our system continues to protect the perps while sticking it to the victims (white America).

The continuation of this liberal/politically correct/fascism will lead to vigilantism.

The outrage isn’t the murder, but all the CA Democrats now throwing SF under the bus to deflect criticism — righteously deserved — from them. imho

Pathetic that their ‘deflection’ is working.
