Donald Trump didn’t make any comments about “Mexican-Americans,” he made them about illegal aliens. Which makes it quite clear Romney believes Mexican illegal aliens have a right to be here and have a right to citizenship and voting, and indeed already are Americans, hyphenated in his speech as “Mexican-Americans,” like the term “African Americans.” The only other possibility is that Romney’s such a lowlife he’s knowingly and intentionally lying about what Trump said when he claims Trump was talking about “Mexican-Americans,” in order to make it look like Trump was criticizing ALL Mexicans in the U.S. In other words, Romney either believes illegal aliens are Americans or he’s lying, in a very sinister fashion, about what Trump said in order to make Trump look bad. Either way, it’s not a pretty picture for our twice-failed presidential candidate friend.
Wolfeboro, New Hampshire (CNN) – Mitt Romney said Saturday that Donald Trump’s comments on Mexico and undocumented immigrants have hurt the Republican Party, making the 2012 presidential nominee the latest Republican to slam the billionaire over his controversial remarks.
Romney made his remarks during a Fourth of July parade in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, which was also attended by presidential candidates New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
Asked if Trump’s comments on Mexicans have hurt the Republican Party, Romney replied, “Yes.”
“I think he made a severe error in saying what he did about Mexican-Americans,” Romney said.
Well insofar as every Mexican is an American, he’s right.
Every person from the top of Alaska and Canada all the way to Cape Horn lives in the Americas. They are Americans.
They aren’t U. S. Citizens, and him trying to imply something akin to that is Bush-league.
