Bubba Watson is taking the Confederate flag off his General Lee

The Confederate flag has been in the news quite a bit of late with much consternation on both sides. Bubba Watson weighed in with his opinion Thursday as it relates to his famous General Lee car from the Dukes of Hazzard.
All men ARE created equal, I believe that so I will be painting the American flag over the roof of the General Lee #USA

It's Watson's car. He can do whatever he wants to with it. But I am just curious why he didn't make this bold move last year.
Perhaps Watson can make up for his tardiness by buying up all the Dukes of Hazzard lunch boxes on EBay. Then he could smash them with a sledge hammer on national TV. Sort of like a 21st century book-burning.
As a side note, the General Lee owned by Watson is just one of many in the hands of collectors. There are others.
