True, but the Motel 6 in question is immediately off the interstate and looks clean and safe enough. There are a number of resturants near by. I think it was a case were they were tried.

Earlier this year my wife and I were returning to Colorado (via the Grand Canyon) from California. We decided to stop over in Kingman, AZ ... without making advance reservations. Not a good idea ... we arrived in Kingman around 5PM and every upscale lodging was booked. We ended up over nighting at a place that would make a Motel 6 look like a Hyatt Regency by comparison.
