I'd guess that most small town celebrations are going to be business as usual. 9/11 wasn't a plan to fly aircraft into Kalamazoo, Auburn, or any other town less than a million population.
I agree with you up to your last sentence. Islam has won what you listed only because our Govt. allows/promotes it. Our Emperor and his minions are our Enemy within, the arch enemy of Western WASP culture - that’s the one we have to fight. The rest is street theater.

I can see quietly honoring the DOI, constitution, and BOR on the 4th. Actually, at this time a public solemn reading of these documents would be best. But I can no longer honor or celebrate America as it is today, and I recoil when politicians and government officials attempt to bathe in the reflected glory of the past.
This is our warning...vacations cancelled.....command centers across the country....stay very alert when out..

They can spend Trillions on middle eastern wars but leave the border wide open. Illegals make up 25% of felons on California.

I applaud the President in his remarks that we need to “help people overcome their religious beliefs.” The growing extremism displayed by Muslim extremists world wide is a grave concern. With beheading and other forms of murder, oppression of women, stifling of education, suppression of truth, shunning technology, the list goes on. These extremist Muslim radicals are perverting their own Koran by murdering and suicide bombing. Sura 3, Imram’s Family (3.139), “It is not for any soul to die, save by God’s permission written down for an appointed time.”
They also boast of wanting to take over the world for Islam. This declaration and all the other unacceptable beliefs of the radical Islamists are declared in the name of religion. This is unacceptable and flies in the face of the Presidents very words. I stand behind him in our need to “help people overcome their religious beliefs.” How may I help in this regard?
My bet is the intelligence community is picking up a lot of chatter concerning and encouraging attacks on the 4th. I’ll be at a private range shooting with friends on the 4th - probably the safest place you could be, LOL.
That creates more terror because no place will be safe, most believe as long as they don’t live or work in big cities they will be safe.

But yeah, large crowds are by definition target rich. Concerts, sporting events, malls, schools, parades, etc.
Successful attacks are inevitable. A bit like car accidents, we don't like them, but can't stop them. Not saying car accidents are criminal, just that the losses are inevitable.

However, I still maintain that although our government may be complict in allowing Islam to threaten our country as a useful way to limit freedom and grow a police state, other western countries appear to been self delusional in welcoming islam, and resulting threat.
I sure wish we had sensible sober leadership (ie: pre-1965) who inspite of political differences, fundamentally acted in the interests of our country.
It’s 180 now - nearly everything our leaders do, contributes to our demise.
