We changed our mind and started opposing gay marriage when we realized we didn’t matter to gays and lesbians. And the fact that we counted for so little in the eyes of the community asking for total power over people like us was not only emotionally hurtful, but also, and perhaps more importantly, politically terrifying.
A funny thing happened on the way to equality. It started with tales of lesbians stuck in the hospital after car accidents, unable to receive their own lovers as visitors. Who could oppose legal protections to prevent such tragedies from happening? I bought into these anecdotes partly because I remember during my mother’s convalescence how important it was for her lover to be at her bedside.

Then there was a bait and switch. Suddenly self-appointed leaders of the Gay and Lesbian Community, Inc., decided that receiving legal recognition was not enough. They had to have the right to have children – and not just on the terms forced upon the vast majority of society, but solely on their terms. They wanted to have legally recognized and government-subsidized relationships with the same sex. They wanted to exclude adults of the opposite sex from their home, intimate lives, and property. They wanted the bodies of children – to wit, loving and obedient children – in their homes, genetically connected to them if possible. They wanted nobody in the home (including the kids), nobody in their neighborhood, nobody on TV, and eventually nobody in the entire world to make any passing reference purposeful or casual to the fact that this arrangement was strange, came with risks, and might be unfair to the very kids the couples expected to love them.

agreed. I am taking a college Govt class and this issue came up. I am older and you would not even believe how dumb people are today about he laws, homosexuality, their agenda, and the Constitution.

I could put up a whole list of them and it is stunning to see people who have left high school not have a clue about the laws of this country.
I asked one about the children as children do better with a mother and father in the home and their reply was “ well if two people love each other why does it matter if they don’t have a father or a mother”.
I kid you not, but you could tell that they had not thought of the kids.
The law should have been all that mattered as far as SCrOTUS is concerned.
Don’t bother dealing with the 2%. They are meaningless. Deal with the 30% of straight white liberals that forced this on us. That also means the hate crime BS can’t be applied against us without another fight on their part.
Isolate and shun them in public and business.
It’s getting where the only people who can publicly take a stand are people who make their living as political pundits.
Thanks for telling it like it is. This is where our country stands today. It is the result of our broken families and our mind-numbing public education system. At this point, I don’t think it is fixable.

I agree. Mr. Lopez is usually rather humorous and determinedly positive. This decision, with its complete disregard for the children consigned to homosexual couples, has really hit him hard.

If this happens, they are either too uninformed, stupid or lazy to have a proper Medical Power of Attorney filled out, naming their “lover” as their MPOA. Same thing with “lovers” inheriting - a will, trust, etc. will take care of that. Having been a MPOA for someone not related to me (a friend who needed help - no family), once the decision was made, it happened within the hour and was in effect until she died. The ER & doctors let me in every time - didn’t even have to show them the paperwork - when they asked if I was a relative, I told them ‘no, but I am her MPOA’. You don’t have to be “married” to someone for this all to happen.
Already doing that. I have no desire to even talk to someone anymore if they support this crap/
it’s right about the hospitals visits. I remember when working up in MA that the homosexuals said they wanted civil unions due tot hem wanting to see their supposed other.
White liberals and libertarians either ignored the dangers of their steps to get to where we are or they were just naïve and fell for the crap.
Now less than 20 years later we see homosexuals demanding that we have to ignore how we feel or what we think, and then see them storming churches and demanding more and more .
The NAZIS would be proud to see how the homostapo have worked.

It’s a shame that I have to tell my kids about the homosexual agenda and to never bow down to their views, even if anyone tells you otherwise.

They didn’t “free” anyone. They aren’t moral superheroes.
They have congratulated themselves, but they will soon slink away to find solace in whatever habit they have to drown out reality.
