I would suggest we dissolve our system of government and start over, but there’s no system that can protect us from the self-destruction of liberalism.

if we did as you say then we might become a communist nation. When you say “we” keep in mind that “we” conservatives can’t even run the Republican Party much less the country.

That’s OK. The country is going to dissolve itself. States outside of the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, rust belt and Pacific coast won’t stand for this. The south, Texas, and most of the Midwest and Mountain West are going to go there own way sooner or later. At least then we’ll have someplace to go.

Justice Scalia 'Smacks Down the Majority' in his Dissent... ripped into the court ruling....Scalia took no prisoners in castigating the majority.

"This is a naked judicial claim to legislative—indeed, super-legislative—power; a claim fundamentally at odds with our system of government. Except as limited by a constitutional prohibition agreed to by the People, the States are free to adopt whatever laws they like, even those that offend the esteemed Justices’ “reasoned judgment.” A system of government that makes the People subordinate to a committee of nine ***unelected*** lawyers does not deserve to be called a democracy."

I agree.

The problem is that no centralized power structure can be allowed to exist, or the masterminds will attempt to dominate us via it.

I suggested on FB that we scrap the whole system and have a True Democracy a la Ancient Greece - appoint a “manager” - where we all vote on computers on issues and majority rules are followed...
Had a snarky response from one guy...
Looks like it’s not such a bad idea now....
