The Fox News Channel has been the bête noire of the Left for the past two decades. But Salon columnist David Palumbo-Liu, who is also a Professor of Comparative Literature at Stanford University, takes the cake in his “critique” of FNC’s coverage of last week’s Charleston shooting:
But while we might wonder about Roof, there is no doubt at all that for its commentary on this horrific, hate-filled crime Fox News should be indicted in the court of public opinion for its role in this and other racist acts. The network surely was conscious of what it was doing in aiding and abetting; it surely planned to furnish Roof with an alibi regarding the exact nature of his heinous crime.

The idea that Fox News is providing any assistance to Dylann Roof much less help him “avoid arrest or punishment” is just plain stupid. Such a comment could only be uttered by someone who does not watch Fox News. While one might disagree with Steve Doocy’s take on the shooting, I don’t think his view is representative of those who appear on the network.
Palumbo-Liu’s view is emblematic of those on The Left who wish to excise not only conservative thought, but any thought that deviates from their own in the public square. How else does one explain Harry Reid’s attempt to change the Constitution last year to abridge the Kochs’ freedom of speech? How else does one explain Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s desire to punish those who do not toe the party line on global warming/climate change? Indeed, Palumbo-Liu is an active supporter of the BDS movement against Israel which, among other things, seek to punish Israeli academics just for being Israeli even if they oppose the policies of the Netanyahu government. It seems to be a coordinated effort to dehumanize any right thinking individual.
To its end effects, I do not know, but we can all look at history for the usual results.

But, Salon aids and abets the murder of millions of innocent, precious, unborn babies.

The only way this ends is if our side gets tough with these people and demonizes them, publicly, consistently, by EVERYONE. And that includes the limp wristed pols.

I find it most interesting that what they are most excited about is that this was a hate crime, which I certainly agree it was, although that wasn’t immediately entirely obvious. The comments of Doocy and others need to be taken in context and placed on a timeline of what information had been released.
The Left immediately leaped to conclusion this was a white supremacist hate crime. This time they turned out to be correct.
But they also leaped to the same conclusion with Zimmerman, Wilson/Brown and Baltimore. The first two were proven to be nothing of the kind, and it’s looking more and more sketchy for the last.
But now they’ve got an actual white supremacist hate crime to point to. They’re very happy.
Didn’t they think the Boston Marathon bombing was a white supremacist?
Since Fox is obviously a purveyor of "hate and racism" they should identify themselves by wearing the confederate flag. The rest of the media should be wear the hammer and sickle or the American flag encompassed by a red circle with a red diagonal slash across it.
It’s all coming out now. The left is drunk with their new-found power over Whites and is moving in to finish them off.
