Why stop in the south? Isn’t there a Confederate memorial at Arlington? How about shutting down the Daughters of the Confederacy? There is an island, Johnsons Island, located in Sandusky Bay, Lake Erie, Ohio. An extremely haunting place because there are over 200 Condererate Officers buried there, many were Generals who were held captive. They died of the elements, typhoid fever, shot by guards and starvation. After the war, families asked for the remains to be returned to their homes in the south and were denied. By 1886 the crude grave sites were in shambles and not really distinguishable as graves. Finally, in the 1900s there was a memorial erected, I say take it down and force the return of the remains to the South.
Surprisingly, nobody has asked dirty Harry Reid how he felt about caucusing with Klansman Robert Byrd all those years.
