To me, this is the most important line in this editorial.
It is also why there will be a complete Republican rout in 2016. Not one Republican who runs will win.
Nobody on the Republican side has any reason to go vote. Republicans rolled over for every Obama initiative and opposed nothing, and now even volunteer NEW liberal ideas.
Democrats, they still have a reason to vote.
Republicans don't.
I agree. The republican party that punished the South is now trying to punish it more. It will be the end of the party.
The purge is being cheered on and maybe even led by ‘Big Tent’ Republicans, the sort who like to make common cause with their friends on the Left but who can always find a problem with people to their right. Give a listen to Hugh Hewitt or Michael Medved and you’ll get the idea. They may be in for a surprise come election time when the targets of their purge leave the tent entirely.
