Syrians coming to Amish country (Lancaster County, PA)
Refugee Resettlement Watch ^ | 6/24/15 | Ann Corcoran

Most people are very surprised to learn that Church World Service (one of nine federal resettlement contractors) has been busy for years flooding Lancaster, PA with third worlders. Here we learn that the next big batch will be Syrians—Syrians who don’t speak English and who will need mental health counseling!

And, big surprise (not!) they will work in factories and warehouses (jobs Americans won’t do for slave wages?). Please explain to me why a ‘church’ group is acting as head hunter for businesses looking for cheap labor?

From WITF:

About 60 Syrian refugees already live in Lancaster County, and another 60 are expected to re-settle there in the next year.

Church groups secure and furnish apartments for the families, who also get help in finding work and staying healthy.

English classes will be available, and kids will go to schools in the county.

Speaking on WITF’s Smart Talk, Sheila Mastropietro with Church World Service in Lancaster also says counseling is an area of concern because many refugees have seen death and destruction in Syria.

“So it’s difficult but we do what we can and we certainly have interpretation services. And we expect that some people are going to need at least some counseling in the beginning at least,” she says.

Mastropietro says she expects the Syrians to find work quickly in a warehouse or factory.

Go here to listen to the Smart Talk interview.

And, if you didn’t know Church World Service is part of the National Council of Churches which has historical roots in the Communist movement of the 1950s. They are hard Leftists in their political view.

See our archive on Lancaster by clicking here.

It was in Lancaster, in 2013, that I first heard about “pockets of resistance” (towns trying to stop the flow of refugees their way) and the Office of Refugee Resettlement’s new hire—‘Welcoming America.’

An afterthought: I should have added this—over 90% of the Syrians we are taking are Muslims.

Infections are not immigration. There used to be immigration processes and stages for reasons of cultural assimilation into the American culture. The only reason to bypass those processes is the goal to change American culture.

Because, they are being paid well to do so.

There are THOUSANDS of Syrian CHRISTIAN refugees being resettled around the world. Yes, the World Council of Churches is liberal and leftist, but they are probably the only entity that has the financial ability, interest and involvement to help these families. The Lancaster area would be an ideal relocation place for Assyrian Christians. I say this as someone who lives in the area.

Who said that these were Syrian Christians? Øbama policy is to favor Muslim refugees over Christian. See also here: here, here, here, and here.

I know because they have already settled Syrian Christian families in the area several years ago. A friend’s Mennonite Church has sponsored quite a few families.

As far as favoring Muslim refugees, it is also the case that Muslims are the majority that are fleeing ISIS and the Syrian Civil War. Christians are a very small minority of the population. However, that these people have experienced the destructive nature of ISIS means they will be a benefit in mosques to stop the spread of radicalization.

Allow me to help. As usually the case, FOLLOW THE MONEY. In this case, most of their money comes from the US government (almost 60%). To receive this money, they have to do as the government dictates.

Here is information from Church World Services 2013 financial statement. I would imagine their funding has gone up significantly over the last few years because the government is using them to do their work.

http://www.cwsglobal.org/who-we-are/annual-report/fy-2013/financial-information.html

These folks are professional grant writers. They use cuddly names like Church World Services so that people don’t question their intentions. Other groups good at playing the game go under names like “Catholic Charities.” “Catholic Charities” receive BILLIONS OF DOLLARS every year from our government. Again, to receive this money, they have to play by the government’s rules.

This money creates careers for a lot of people. Their jobs wouldn’t exist without taxpayer money. And I certainly don’t believe these people are doing this only because of their faith. The government doesn’t allow these groups to promote their faith to “refugees” or illegals to receive the money.

Here’s an example for you (Catholic Charities of Santa Clara)

“We will work to implement President Obama’s directives.” — FROM THEIR WEBSITE

Click on “ANNUAL REPORT” and you will find that 63% of their money comes from government http://www.catholiccharitiesscc.org/about-us (Again, click on “Annual Report”).

Here’s another example (Catholic Charities of Maryland):

http://www.catholiccharities-md.org/about-us/financial-information/
You can click on” FY 2013 - 2014 (PDF)”. PAGE 4 shows under REVENUES “Purchase of services by government agencies” $108,934,487.00

Yep, that’s $109 million of taxpayer money to Catholic Charities of Maryland in 2014. That’s 60%+ of their revenues. And that’s just Maryland. Yeah, I know they do some other services but placing illegals and “refugees” is part of the program for Catholic Charities.

These people are professional grant writers. They know how to get government dollars. As most of us know, Catholic Charities and other groups have been assisting illegals and “refugees” but most don’t realize that so much of the money is coming from the taxpayer.

Remember Obama complimenting Catholic Charities about a year ago for their work on immigration?

My post isn’t an attack on Catholics or any other religious group. My attack is on these professional grant writers using our tax dollars to undermine our nation.

Support for this will most likely come from the York County prison system. Feds dump the illegals there before they deport. Just another reason why I moved out of South Central PA.

Absolutely amazing how much their government funding increased in just one year.

http://www.cwsglobal.org/about-us/financial-information.html

What these groups do is set them up for about three months in a place to live and how to hook up with welfare programs.

They get their money and run and then leave them at the taxpayer’s expense.

Additionally, why would they choose to dump them in Amish country? It’s not like the Amish are going to complain very much. They’re not watching the evening news.
