When did America go insane? Actually the children are mostly OK. Try to put a skirt on a boy, and he'll tell you where to go.

this so that the child can decide what gender they are later in life

No Pat?
I don't know when the country changed so much. But I know we can see the effects.

How convenient. They can identify with anything without going through a name change. Maybe a baby named “It” would fit any possible of the past, present and future genders?

A friend at a local school district noted a boy’s name.
It was Cervis Lane.

Personally, I like gender-specific Biblical names.

IMHO, gender neutral names have existed for a long time. I’ve known males and females with the names Robin, Terry, Lynn, Lee... and gender neutral nicknames like Mickey (for Mike or Michaelena), Jamie (short for James or used as Jamie for girls), Nicky (for Nicolas or Nicole). I guess the difference NOW is the reasoning behind choosing them.. before it was usually a name given for a relative and now it is gender neutral “don’t want to label my baby as a boy or girl till they decide insanity.

What motivates mothers to name a daughter Ryan or Sidney instead of a female name, in the first place? I think mothers are seeking to make a politicsl statement when they give their girls mannish sounding names.

...says BabyCenters Global Editor in Chief Linda Murray. Millennials are an open-minded and accepting group, and they dont want their children to feel pressured to conform to stereotypes that might be restrictive... What a load of hogwash. People don't go about naming their child on the basis of something like this.
This woman is a fool.

We gave a few of our kids names that could, perhaps, be used by the other sex. But our girls are raised to be girls and our boys to be boys. I don’t think parents are purposely giving their kids gender neutral names, the author is assigning motivation to parents in order to push an agenda.

Why not "Thing", so it can decide later what it is, since in only a few more years simple gender identity will be so yesterday.
