Wonderful. Simple, yet wonderful.
if it is possible to remove the above commment .. please admins.. do so.
I will pray that God will make these dear people glorious in His Kingdom.
Why? I don’t find the image attractive or honoring to the victims.
Sawgrass Roses... how appropriate.
Sawgrass is a natural product of the lands around Charleston, used in the past to make baskets for the harvest.
Today black ladies from the Gulla culture still make baskets for the tourest trade. Some make these beautifully crafted Sawgress Roses
These innocents were truely a product of the lowcountry, simple people who lived their Christian beliefs openly day to day,and went to the lord unquestionly in a state of grace.
thanks, never heard of a sawgrass rose.
The posting I commented. On was removed. And thank you admins For doing so
Not being snarky, but they look like rolled-up rawhide "bones" that our dog would chew.
To me, the pic cheapens the sentiment.

Don't tell me that real flowers don't grow in Charleston -- I've seen them there...
Yes, but I don’t understand your complaint.
I thought the same thing.
But the mods did.
But what is your complaint? People across the country have lamented that image. I agree with others who have posted on the thread, the image doesn’t do justice to the people.
Thanks for the education in SC folkways art! As you can see by my #11, I had no idea what those roses really were...
In reply to your Freepmail - I made the post that was removed. I offered the opinion that the image did not seem to pay proper respect to the victims and that the image was too white.
That’s my opinion.
