Washington Post TV critic Hank Stuever loved the latest HBO documentary on "gun carnage," as the Monday headline has it. Online, the headline was "A deep wallow in gun-related senselessness."
It was "remarkably good" and "notably free of a direct anti-gun harangue," Stuever wrote, but he was still depressed that HBO was only preaching to the liberal choir ("people already horrified by gun violence and gun culture") and the film "won't ever be seen by those who most need to see it."

Remember the days when HBO simply played movies, and MTV actually played music, and Comedy Central was funny?
By “liberals” I guess he means the homosexual “culture”.
I haven’t subscribed the H-Blows for twenty years. Nice to know I’m still not missing much.
And TLC only showed scientific stuff, and National Geographic only showed animals, and the Weather Channel only showed the weather.
If you don’t like guns, don’t own one. But, don’t expect anyone to protect you with one either.
HBO is anti gun violence? The same people who spared no ketchup on The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire and other works of total bloodbath? They’re against gun violence?
Now, wouldn’t it be interesting if HBO practiced what they preached and went an entire year without showing any graphic violence. Do you think their subscriber base would expand or shrink? I think we all know the answer.

When I was a wee lad, my neighbor was the only house on the block with HBO. We would all gather there on Saturday nights to watch the latest movies.
I actually remember MTV with Kurt Loder doing the news. I was a teenager when Kurt Cobain killed himself and remember being glued to the TV watching Nirvana Unplugged waiting for updates.
And I remember Comedy Central being a place to watch stand up acts. Now they have a mix of semi-funny movies mixed with often awkward original "comedy."
