Au contraire!
Read your Bible. God has not given up on His chosen people.... the seed of Abraham, nor will He ever. Yes, this IS the time of the Gentile, we Christians who have been "born again" have now inherited the "seed of Abraham" and thus are now part of God's covenant. And the eyes of the non-repentant Jews are temporarily shut to the truth. They are still awaiting fulfillment of their prophesies of the coming Messiah. And we are told by our Lord to pray for them.
Revelation 7:2-4 .........
"And I saw another angel ascend from the sun-rising, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a great voice to the four angels to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, not the trees, till we shall have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads. And I heard the number of them that were sealed, a hundred and forty and four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel."reminds us that there will be Jews, even in the last days, who believe and are saved by His Grace.
You spoke of the "Jewish religion". That Jewish religion has always been foretelling of, always been a picture of, Jesus Christ. The Old Testiment is so much more than just a history of the Jews. It is a beautiful and accurate "picture" of Christ.
I didn’t say that God’s election of the Jews came to an end. But the RELIGION—the system of obligations and ritual designed by God to foretell Christ and form a people capable of recognizing him—did come to an end. The tearing of the veil of the temple immediately after Jesus’ death represents this fact.
