I'm a big fan of the First Amendment. I don't like the idea of outlawing speech. But if the media says that some form of speech is a problem, then I think we should immediately ban it. I'm thinking in particular of one hate-filled flag that incites violence among many people, especially in the South. If a flag is a cause of such violence, shouldn't we ban it? That's why I'm calling for the Mexican flag to be banned. In Mexico, perhaps, it's harmless, but in the United States, all it does is foment hatred and violence. Look at the violence committed by illegal aliens, many of whom are from Mexico:
In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide (which total 1,200 to 1,500) target illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens.
Today, about 55,000 criminal aliens account for more than one-fourth of prisoners in Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities, and there are about 297,000 criminal aliens incarcerated in state and local prisons
A Congressional Research Service report released in August 2012 found that over a 33-month period, between October 2008 and July 2011, more than 159,000 illegal aliens were arrested by local authorities and identified by the federal government as deportable but nevertheless released back onto the streets. Nearly one-sixth of those same individuals were subsequently again arrested for crimes.

I'm beyond disgusted that those with a narrative to promote are destroying true grieving and outrage. It's not about a flag. It's about an element of our population that is soulless and has no comprehension of reality. It cuts across ethnic groups. Let's grieve and focus on finding what commonalities there are in these homicidal maniacs, and what can be done to address the problem.
Instead, the thoughtmasters are creating division where people are striving to express shared grief and outrage.

Although I'm willing to be convinced if someone can support these numbers.

Flags can’t be filled with hate. People can.
Banning a flag doesn’t stop hate.
The problem isn’t a flag or a gun. It’s people whose “value” system allows them to murder. How did they get this “value” system? Not from church or synagogue.

This piece has holes in it one could drive a truck through. American Thinker is usually better than this
To: bestintxas
Mass media recognition and hyperbole drive these heinous crimes. Ban the reporting of the names of the perpetrators and just wipe their existence from he earth in an anonomous unmarket mass grave, and the number of these incidents will decline. And make the mass grave a dog park so dogs can piss on them

I have a front licence plate that has an American Flag and a Confederate Battle Flag together. I m thinking of removing it from my truck and hanging it up in my garage.
Im concerned that I am making myself and family a target of some wacho.
This is a sad day for our Country.

I think you could also argue that the Rainbow flag incites hate. How many Christians have lost their livelihood because of it and all it represents?

I didn't see it that way.
The title was a hook to draw a reader in, then he made a point which attempted, in my opinion, to hoist the leftists on their own petard.
I don't know about the statistics he was using, so those might be full of holes, but when I read it, I thought the main point was "Okay. You want to ban flags? Let's say I go along with you: how about banning the Mexican flag?"

It's time the RACE-BAITERS went to JAIL !
Booker T. Washington nailed the truth about them long ago.
Take a look at
Booker T. Washington on Black Victimhood.
This is a very important fact THAT IS NOT BEING TAUGHT TODAY !
A number of black leaders (e.g., Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton) have made their living by promoting black victimhood and white guilt.
Jesse Jackson has been shaking down corporations with the scam for decades.
Booker T. Washington (18651915) warned of such people within the black community in his 1911 book My Larger Education.
He described them as problem profiteers:
There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs and the hardships of the Negro race before the public.
Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs partly because they want sympathy
and partly because it pays.
Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.
