Refusing to Bow at the Altar of Homosexuality [Luke 17]
CNS News ^ | 6/15/2015 | J. Mark Brewer

I was a law student when I first learned of the consequences of not being politically correct concerning homosexuality. A former Miss America’s contract as the citrus growers’ brand-ambassador was allowed to lapse because she had successfully campaigned for the repeal of a pro-homosexual ordinance in Miami-Dade County.

She was quoted as saying, “What these people really want, hidden behind obscure legal phrases, is the legal right to propose to our children that theirs is an acceptable, alternate way of life.” She was publicly humiliated – "pied" on national television – and her name – Anita Bryant – became synonymous with something called "homophobia" and "hate speech."

As a new Air Force J.A.G. officer, my first court assignment was to represent the United States in an administrative discharge proceeding concerning a female service member. She was being kicked out of the service for allegedly engaging in homosexual acts. Even as an inexperienced young lawyer, I managed to prove that she had committed the requisite two homosexual acts. She was given a “general” discharge and sent back to the United States.

I don’t remember when thereafter I first noticed that there are only two instances in which “sex” occurs in the “ethics” rules for lawyers. Both are in the same, “anti-discrimination” provision: “A lawyer shall not willfully, in connection with an adjudicatory proceeding … manifest, by words or conduct, bias or prejudice based on race, color, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, or sexual orientation towards any person involved in that proceeding in any capacity...”

Luke 17: 26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat , they drank , they married wives , they were given in marriage , until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came , and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat , they drank , they bought , they sold , they planted , they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Jesus said that one of the sure signs of His second coming, was that it would be like the days of Lot (Sodom) when homosexuality would be codified and protected in the legal system. The prophet Isaiah revealed that this "breaking of the everlasting covenant" was a primary reason why God's judgment is coming to the earth...

Isaiah 24: 1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty , and maketh it waste , and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. 2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer , so with the seller ; as with the lender , so with the borrower ; as with the taker of usury , so with the giver of usury to him. 3 The land shall be utterly emptied , and utterly spoiled : for the LORD hath spoken this word. 4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away , the world languisheth and fadeth away , the haughty people of the earth do languish. 5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant (i.e. man shall marry a woman and the two shall have children to fill the earth).

At least you didn’t say “bend over”, or we’d have a field day...

In order to force us to accept as natural a lifestyle that is anti-nature, they get us fired from our jobs for expressing an opinion about it.

This is fascism, and the government is complicit in not doing anything about it.

If people want to fire anti-gay marriage people then that should be their right. You sound like the fascist in that you wish to control the private property of others.

Help me understand what you are saying...you believe that companies should be able to fire folks based on thoughtcrime?

I am saying companies should be able to fire people for ANY reason, just as employees can quit for any reason. Remember it goes both ways - protecting the employee at all costs mentality means that homosexual activists don’t lose their jobs when they teach at a Christian school.

I took him to be saying that if it's your company you should be able to hire and fire for whatever reasons you chose. That's the meaning of private property and freedom.

The problem isn’t person A firing person B, the problem is crowd C yelling and making a fuss and basically forcing person A to fire person B. It’s a lynch mob.
