Oh, bull, Mr. Bear. No one has to submit to the Pope talking about plastic bags and recycling. Wake up and use some common sense.

Amen to that. God gave us this wonderful world in which to live, and he expects us to respect his gift. Nothing wrong with that.

When the only tool a person has ever learned how to use is a hammer, EVERYTHING looks like a nail.
A lot of people are prone to confirmation bias, they will interpret everything as confirming what they already believe to be true and ignore everything that refutes their beliefs. Take the authority of the pope and the magisterium, the Church doesn't imply that this authority extends beyond matters of faith and morals, so this portion of the Catechism and encyclicals is simply ignored and all focus is placed on certain key words and phrases.

That's a good spot. Our’s goes to an orphanage and school in Central America run by Franciscan nuns. (we also volunteer, there are different ways to give.) I've been thinking of how courageous Cardinal Raymond Burke seems. I'd like to send a check his way.

Just pleased the atheists and Gaia Worshipers while losing a huge number of his flock.

Same here, I am dkeeply disappointed in the pontiff’s comments. This has nothing to do with our faith. The left leaning strain in the Catholic church leaves me scratching my head.

I hope he doesn’t expect this global political body to replace the church.

If he puts it under moral stewardship we will see. I've got the popcorn.
