Donald J. Trump, the billionaire real-estate mogul, on Tuesday will release a summary of assets that total about $9 billion as part of his likely entry into the race for the Republican presidential nomination, according to people familiar with his plans.
The two-page document which will be published after he holds a political rally at Trump Tower in New York will provide a valuation of his hotels and other properties. It will also show hundreds of millions in cash on hand and an outline of his debt, the people said.
The details he will reveal Tuesday will provide one of the first looks at the worth of the real estate and television empire that the colorful impresario has amassed one whose value has been avidly debated.
Trumps declared assets are more than double the estimate of his net worth by Forbes, which currently pegs his net holdings at $4.1 billion. And it would make him the wealthiest Republican contender.
Trumps longtime financial advisers and Donald F. McGahn, a partner at Jones Day, have finalized the report about his finances in recent weeks as Trump has moved closer to jumping into the 2016 contest.

I doubt Trump is worth a billion.
“rump is the only guy in the field who would exaggerate his total worth upwards just to impress somebody.”
Yep. Forbes has him at 4.1 Billion.

I doubt it’s that high now.
Trump as president would be refreshing. Politics aside, a successful born in America American. He’s got enough money that no one would own him. Besides, maybe Trump would get Buffett to pay his back taxes and send Soros packing back to Europe...
His clothing line is mad in China, Bangladesh, and Mexico. He ships jobs overseas with the best of them.
Unfortunately, I don’t think Trump has a service oriented bone in his body. I cannot see him in the role of President. Everything is not a business deal and Trump doesn’t have the full spectrum skills to make a good POTUS. Of course, neither does Obama and that didn’t stop him, but why not put in Cruz who is far ahead of every other candidate.
Wealth envy on FR....go figure.
If I had $9B stashed I would not run for President. I am too lazy I guess.
If true a great question for him to answer.
I could do Trump/Cruz ‘16
oh, I never said i would vote for him :) Cruz as far and away the best.
But maybe Trump will pull rinos away from jeb.
didn’t know that. wow.
trump is better than yeb bush, rodham, o’smalley, and biteme. Go Donald!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How many of the current candidates have actually started, or ran, a business? As in, they’ve signed the FRONT of the payroll checks.
How many are career politicians/government appointees?
I dumped cruz a few weeks ago after him wanting to increase H1b’s 300K and also TPP. Now cruz is holding hands with rinobag paul ryan and supporting a lame duck communist usurper. Ryan never told anyone that there is a tax increase and IRS involvement now with TAA and thus you must pas TAA to know what he just put in it!! Screw cruz, ryan, soetoro and all rinobags!
My first question as well. Perhaps this is part of the answer to our question:
Trumps declared assets are more than double the estimate of his net worth by Forbes....
That is still quite a few bucks, why would anyone (other than a journalist) play word games.
Methinks ‘twas said in jest.
That’s too bad. He seemed like an adult at the time.
Wouldn’t you love to be Trump’s campaign manager? The Donald has an ego that’s even bigger than his declared assets. I predict Trump will go through two or three managers before he finally fades in the primaries. Still, I’d pay to see a debate between Trump and Hillary as they declare themselves saviors of the middle class.
My early prediction:
Trump/Palin vs Biteme/castro
