German industry groups called on Monday for the government to make it easier for asylum seekers to get jobs in Germany, days before a national conference on refugee policy.
Many people who come to us fleeing war and displacement will stay for a long time, maybe forever, Ingo Kramer, president of the National Union of Employers Federations, said. Its in everyones interest to do everything so that these people can integrate quickly into the labor market.
He was joined in his call by Eric Schweitzer, president of the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry, who said that asylum seekers with prospects of staying, and people with humanitarian leave to remain, who are entering education should be able to finish that without worrying about being expelled.

Isn’t that nice. “give” them jobs while the normal people have to be qualified for them.
Obama has to bribe businesses here with $3,000/head subsidy, too, while these “business leaders” just want to hand it to the “refugees”.
If the industry leaders are so caring, maybe they should pay the refugees twice the going wage rate?

There are no numerical quotas, but the premium thing tends to hold down the number of foreign workers. Basically, if they aren't more qualified than the natives to do the job, they don't get hired. I know because I used to be one.
