A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 22% of Likely U.S. Voters would feel safer living in a neighborhood where nobody was allowed to own a gun over one where they could have a gun for their own protection. Sixty-eight percent (68%) would feel safer in a neighborhood where guns are allowed, while 10% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Hmmmm. Probably just NRA propaganda to sell more guns so more kids can be killed. After all, we also know that if there's a gun in the neighborhood, there is a 1,000,000,000% higher chance that some child will find it and massacre half the neighborhood. Shout out to the momunists for the troof.

The Second Amendment was a brilliant stroke of genius by the Founding Fathers. They knew that the day would come eventually when even the U.S. Government couldn’t be trusted by a free people.

I came across this in a link from a link and now seems an appropriate time to pass it along.

It’s an excellent psychological analysis of anti-gun attitudes but written in a simple, direct manner without condescension.

nota bene: Applying the concepts given also provides a window into the minds of liberals.

Unless enforced individually by the citizenry, it is only a speed bump for the fed gov.

Well holy sh%t Sherlock. When you consider that according to gun prohibitionists’ logic, places like Vermont and Maine ought to the most violent and New York City and DC and Chicago the least (but we all know that the opposite is the truth), there is some major malfunction with them and their worldview. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Howard Dean get onto the Demommunist elites’ sh%t list because he did not think a national strategy of pushing stricter gun laws was worthwhile and used his home state as an example?

The gun grabbers have known this for some time. That is why they are resorting to regulatory and executive order gun grabs. That way they don’t have to worry about voters and popular sentiment.

“And we all know that day has come”.

You both should share the “Post of the Day” award for today. My sentiments exactly along with a (most likely) untold many here.

Not brilliance, common sense. What they did was topsy turvey, in light of history. The founders intended that the people have control, and having control necessitates having superior power. Prevailing wisdom then, as now, was that the people should NOT be in self-control.

Just a quibble with "individually." Individuals have no chance against the people who support the state.

No, it's more like one of those tire shredding thingys. If you go over it the right way it won't harm your tires, but if you try to go over it in the wrong direction it will shred your tires.

Even that is a misleading question...

“Not allowed” presumes that criminals give a rat’s behind what is allowed and what isn’t.

There is one other huge thing here not considered. The big difference between places like Vermont and Baltimore is the one has a lot of criminals, the other doesn’t.

Crime in my neighborhood is rare to none. We also rarely ever see a patrol car. Our crim is low because we don’t have any criminals.

The 2nd Amendment is the toughest nut for the fascists to crack. The elevation of The Usurper has set off a buying spree that has resulted in shortages of both guns and ammo.
Millions of guns and billions of rounds have been sold in just the last six years.

More than the 22%, the thing that disturbs me is that 10% “are not sure!”
These people are the problem we face today. They are evidently so self-absorbed that they have no time for cogent thinking on any level. I mean what is there here to be “not sure” about?
