The case of Orange, the French mobile phone company that is considering abandoning the Israeli market, was on the front pages of all major newspapers. But there is a silent boycott of the Jewish State which is more insidious, latent and even more dangerous because it undermines Israels cultural superiority and cuts Israels link with the rest of the world.
In 2002, the year of the beginning of the academic campaign against Israel, Paul Zinger, the head of the Scientific Association of Israel, revealed that more than seven thousand scientific research projects are sent from Israel abroad every year. Dozens of scientific papers were returned that year, with the terse explanation: We refuse to examine any document from Israel. That phenomenon now seems out of control.
The academic boycott is illegal according to all academic organizations in the world, says Professor Zvi Ziegler, a mathematician at the Technion (Institute of Technology in Haifa) and head of the main scientific forum fighting the boycott. It is against progress, so you will not find universities or European academics who officially boycott Israel. But many do silently, behind the scenes.

That’s just scary. I am left scared hoping that plenty of these same nations that embargo Israel don’t turn domestically anti-semitic too.
In American universities they are excluding Asian students as well.
In a socialist world if you achieve above your peers you become target #1 to the dumb dull mobs of mediocrity.
If they’ve been doing this for this long, they’ve been domestically antisemitic underneath for as long. Consider how long such countries have been “pro-Palestinian” via the UN.
There’s a lot of anti- Jew and anti-Christian krap at many USA college campuses too.
I don’t know, but I am disturbed by it just because very seldom if ever is antisemitism the sole hatred where it exists, there’s almost always hatred for groups other than just the Jews. Bigotry in high places is a sickness, and it keeps adding on group after group. It’s also just not a matter of preservation, it’s simply the fact that Jews are human just like me, it’s also a matter of the fact that Israel is pretty much a tolerable state compared to much elsewhere in the Middle East, even to homosexuals, where it’s not “open season” on them in Israel. Makes me wonder if liberals know that fact, but then again, that’s also why antisemitism is irrational.
Jawohl its coming around again! Seig Heil!
The Nazi said: "So! How are things are the university? Is your physics department having any breakthroughs?"
The professor replied: "What physics department? I'm all that remains. The Jews left. We have no breakthroughs now."
The Spirit of Evil that possessed the national socialists is alive and at work in the world today.
The problem isn’t with the ordinary people, it is with the “elites” and the pseudo intellectuals who are overwhelmingly socialists,if not outright communists.
I won’t hold my breath for the UN, who cares so deeply about justice and fairness and diversity and globalization, to come out with both guns blazing against this atrocity.
Anti-semitism is growing around the world. In the US, it has its roots in the far left. We have a president who sat under a pastor who preached an anti-semitism message over 20 years.
People at the top carry a strong influence over people at the bottom. True story is that my history teacher during my freshman year of high school did an experiment about authority where he asked us to do a few tasks in sequence. Before the end of the tasks, people, including myself, actually gave the stare to the two students in the class of around 33 who actually decided not to obey. At the end of the tasks, the teacher pointed out that it was from this perception of authority that allowed the communists to take over Russia. He also left the end message to be that it was important to not take a lot of things at face value, even those from whom we perceive to be in authority. I am thankful to this day, even if my teacher was a liberal, that I had this happen, because otherwise I probably wouldn’t feel as skeptical toward politicians. To be honest, I and the other 32 students were likely a lucky few who got that demonstration or question about what we were thinking about or why we were obeying “perceived authority”. And so, for plenty of people who have low self-esteem and/or no prior experience with seeing need to be skeptical of authority, the elites in both education and politics can and likely will turn a nation antisemitic, antichristian, etc., as their students will follow with the need to conform to both authority and their peers.
“Jawohl its coming around again! Seig Heil!”
I’d guess not, Don.
The pussy, bed-wetting Europeans wouldn’t last 5 minutes on the battlefield. Fire a burst of auto over their heads and they’ll run back to mommy’s basement. My gosh, man, the English now arrest homeowners who club burglars over the head with frying pans. That’s not a warrior society. It’s a cult of terrified wimps.
...and yet they STILL get the votes, and the money.
“The Nazi said: “So! How are things are the university? Is your physics department having any breakthroughs?”

Certainly the Jews helped A LOT in getting us the Bomb first in WW2...and then, of course, many of the same Jews helped the Soviets do the same, right after the war.
Who does?
If elections are questionable in the USA, they are even more questionable in most European countries. Big believers in “proportional representation” and all.
That’s what a lot of people thought in 1939 too.
