ANYTHING grown in Mexico is SH*T! They grow their produce in human feces ... When it comes to agriculture and animal husbandry, Mexicans are the last source any health conscious American should want for their food supply.

So I’ll continue to buy our beef from local NEBRASKA ranchers ... our poultry and eggs from local NEBRASKA farms ... and our pork from local NEBRASKA slaughterhouses. The disease-ridden rap faced Mexican slobs can go sit on a pole and rotate!

“No matter what country they were grown in, they were planted, cultivated, picked and processed by Mexicans.”

“Are you Mexican?”

No. I am a Kansan. My tomatoes were planted, cultivated picked, and not processed, but eaten fresh by me, a Kansan.

Barry has proven to me that the govt. can do whatever it wants. I would say protecting our citizens should rank right up there.

Hey as far as I’m concerned we should have just said no but I’m thinking that our glorius trade reps probably promised to stop meat labeling and then hadn’t done it yet. Its probably part of the trade agreement.

The one thing to know is that these trade agreements are always bad for America. It has never turned out different.

" a costly process that has led some U.S. companies to stop buying exports. "

Whatever it takes to stop imports.

Ultimately it's Bill Clinton's fault, since he negotiated the part of WTO that allows them to sanction us for advertising where agricultural products are produced.

Had the House done nothing, among the remedies available to Canada and Mexico would be the prospect of adding a surcharge to US meat products. How is that an improvement?

Its probably part of the trade agreement.

That is correct. And had the US House not acted, Canada and Mexico could take retaliatory measures against US farmers.

Canada and Mexico would be permitted to take retaliatory steps under the treaty we negotiated. That retaliation would be made against US agricultural products.

but lets see which of the three countries withers in a real trade war...

You don't know what you're talking about.

Agriculture is the only segment of the US economy that runs a trade surplus. A trade war in agriculture would be extremely harmful to US farmers, and would help the Canadian and Mexican meat producers in their domestic markets, which is exactly what they want.

Yes that’s why these trade agreements are never ever good for the US. These deals only benefit the weakest link to the detriment of the strongest link. I was adamantly opposed to NAFTA. And this TPP is NAFTA to the 10th power.

I know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s time for a good trade war just to weed out the crap. AG is subsidized to hell and back here. I have to run shit gasoline in my vehicles because “AG” needs to find a way to soak up more dollars and we have so much we can’t otherwise give the crap away.

All a trade agreement ever needed to be is “you’ll be tariffed on the cost differential between your labor and regulatory burden”.
Back to subject...
So, Canadians and Mexicans need to get stiffed on having a good high protein diet so their crappier products can get mixed into our market without origin labeling so their guys make a buck???
