If you got the impression from former Florida Governor Jeb Bushs presidential campaign rollout that he appeared to believe his partys nomination was quite simply his due, you werent alone. Bushs decision to reveal his intention to explore a presidential bid in mid-December of last year indicated that he knew the 2016 field would be a crowded one and that he would have to make his case to the Republican electorate early and often. But his actions betrayed a sense of self-assuredness that indicated he did not really believe the contest would be a close one. The pathway to the nomination has, however, been a harder slog for Bush than he anticipated. Today, reeling from the humbling he has endured at the hands of events and the prospective Republican primary electorate, Jeb Bush is adapting and changing course.

Jeb Bush had been humbled, and by precisely those agitators within the conservative movement he was once so determined to ignore delivered that humiliation.

Bush: “It’s my turn, dammit!”
Communist Agitator: “Yes, it’s his turn, dammit!”
Just drop out.
Thatd be great.
But, but, but, it’s his turn.....
Sorry, Jebster.
American citizens do not want their country turned into North Mexico.
We The People do not want to abandon the rule of law.
You should have run for the Democrat nomination.
This article speaks of Bush as an already-declared candidate. Did I miss something in my drunken conservative stupor while relentlessly trashing him. Could I have been so mistaken to not even have taken the opportunity to ridicule his formal announcement? Please say it isn’t so!
Jeb might have thought his name and backing from Rovian forces put him in the lead without even declaring formally, but he is mistaken. He does not and will not have the tacit support of nose-holding conservatives on this third contest in a trifecta of horse manure RINO candidates. He can go back to Mexico and take Imelda Columba with him.
Romney was his placeholder. When Romney declined to run again (probably at the strong suggestion of the Bush cartel), it was supposed to be a clear field for Jeb.
If some of the other candidates don’t drop out..he may well win by default.
I’m sure that we will have a lot of Rats voting for him in the primaries if Hillary doesn’t have a serious challenge. The Rats know he will loose to Hillary.
Danged Wacko-Birds......
I tend to agree with those people on this thread who urge Bush to become a Democrat. He could be Hillary’s VEEP.
OTOH, I think it would be worthwhile to encourage a separatist movement in Northern Mexico, so we could have at least part of a country with the population density of Tennessee which doesn't feel the need to export their people to California, with 1.6 times the population density.
Jeb Bush doesn’t need any humbling by any external actors. He is a flat out slug. A tuber. A sub-average, reluctant candidate, a virtual clone of Bob Dole, he’s a nothingburger. He might have had an original idea once, 20 or more years ago. Maybe. He’s probably pretty good at repeating whatever Rove tells him to say in the training sessions, I’ll give him that.
We demand that the government work WITHIN the bounds of the Constitution, therefore we are “Agitators” against the unconstitutional governing class..
Wow, that was pretty nasty, come to think of it...
Anyone know when the Jebster is gonna be in the Denver area, I wanna hold a sign saying “Run Jeb Run, Run as a Democrat!” outside of where he is speaking...
John Ellis Bush arrested.
Oh. His son.
..in 05...
He’s a butt-hole and I already have one.
Same damn conservative agitators that forced poor old Charlie Crist to become a democrat. Which is where Jeb will have to end up if he wants anyone to vote for him.
Jeb often seems to lack an intuitive touch with the sentiments of the ordinary public or even of his supporters. Worse, with political and financial success, Jeb began to show an arrogant manner and a preference for hearing his views and assumptions confirmed by his advisers. His advisers thus tended to become sycophantic and factionalized, afraid to report bad news. These flaws are likely to take a continuing toll on Jeb’s campaign.
Bush believes he can replace the conservative base with illegal immigration supporting Latinos. That is his gamble plain and simple.
