A Detroit woman defended herself with gunfire early Tuesday morning when a group of men broke into her home.
The woman, .., said she was jolted awake around 2 a.m. when one of the men broke through her bedroom window of her home on Whitehill and pointed a gun in her face. Three or four more men followed behind.

She should have called 911.
Two interesting notes: she emptied her gun, but the only bullet hole found was from the bullet that hit her leg, suggesting to the police that some number of the invaders stole her bullets, as it were.
The other note is that this is the second time this week when a woman in Detroit has defended herself with a gun. I guess they listened to their chief of police who told them to arm themselves.
When seconds count, the police are only hours away.
That used to be true in Detroit but the response time is down to under 10 minutes on average.
It should be noted that the police chief himself says “When seconds count, we’re only minutes away”.
It’s a good thing she wasn’t in NJ or she would still be waiting for her permit.

I know ammo is hard to find but why would they steal this poor women’s bullets?

Wow. Four or five men broke in and woke her up, and one had a gun pointed at her face. And she won!
Didn’t even spoil the walls in her bedroom with bullet holes.
If that woman lived in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey, she would be sitting in prison. It is way too dangerous to discharge a firearm in a home....someone might get hurt. It is always better to rely on the benevolence of the professional home invader...most of them honor role students! And think about it....does a young professional thug deserve to die just because he be doin a little B&E bizness on the side?
Instead I elected to stay about 10 miles south of the city in Southgate in a relatively new Hampton Inn. I arrived around dinner time. There was a baseball game I wanted to watch so I looked for a local sports bar. I found a pub nearby called Front Row. Here's an excerpt from its review under Yahoo:
A low class, trashy location that should have stayed closed after one patron murdered another.
I chose another location. After dinner, I wanted to press the travel wrinkles out of the clothes in my suitcase. When I opened the closet to get the ironing supplies, there were bloodstains on the inside of the closet door.
What a nightmare trip. I feel lucky to have escaped that dreadful city alive and in one piece.
Sounds like everyone in the home has a job so what is a young thug to do?

I’m sure al and company will take up a national collection to replace her bullets ... and pocket millions in fees to oversee the fund.
She will be prosecuted for shooting one of Obama’s sons, not having the pistol in a gun safe, not having a trigger guard, having ammo stored in the same vicinity as the pistol, use of deadly force when not necessary, being a Christian. She is doomed. The left will hound her to the end.
Now this is the kind of “woman power” I can admire.
