EPA calls for regulating aircraft emissions...? $100.00 carry on anyone?
Fox News ^ | 06/10/15 | AP Staff

The government is proposing to regulate aircraft emissions in much the same way as power plants, saying they are a threat to human health because they contain pollutants that help cause global warming and therefore should be regulated. The Environmental Protection Agency announcement Wednesday clears the way for possible U.S. adoption of international emissions standards, which are expected to be released next year. U.S. regulations wouldn't apply to small piston-engine planes or military aircraft. The International Civil Aviation Organization, a U.N. agency, has been working for several years on developing global aircraft emissions standards for the first time.

CO2 is not a pollutant and anyone who believes that is is should stop emitting it personally and that solves the problem overnight.

Of course private jets carrying Al Gore and RFK Jr aren’t part of the problem nor are the junkets on Air Force One by the emperor and empress. CO2 is only a problem if emitted by the peons. The liberal elites can have all the private jets, SUVs and sports cars they want.

I am timing my next trip to Việt Nam because I expect restrictions on travel, domestic and international to be in place at some point as we approach the elections. Those restrictions are less likely to be outright bans than forced ticket price hikes and currency restrictions to some untenable amount of money that one can carry. I have also arranged to send money bit by bit so that I have funds when I am there even if I am limited to some absurd tiny amount of money I can carry. I could get it electronically but once I am there but I suspect that will be cut off, too. I may well be wrong on timing but it is all a guess and get stuck on this side of the Pacific, but I am thinking next summer (2016) will be critical. If travel gets shut down I would rather be there than here. It is best I have money when I get there but if I run out and am stuck there I will be fine. My vicarious "grandchildren" in two families will keep me well.

Kinda hard to respect or trust an agency that has banned over the counter asthma inhalers.

Kinda makes you think they enjoy harming people and capitalism.
Soon, they will be patrolling the streets with combat gear.

They are starting to restrict our movement. The noose is slowly getting tighter. Somewhere in that secret trade pact is going to be something to the effect that globally weapons should be limited. You watch.

Screw the airlines. They’re the same ones being subsidized with our confiscated tax dollars while bringing in millions of foreign nationals, Muslims, illegals, the infected etc.

Those under the flight paths of this endless conga-line of winged buses, who are being dusted with jet exhaust 24/7, should sue the hell out of these entities.

Maybe it will be like the CARB requirements in CA where it has reduced the performance of big rigs so much that they can no longer haul a full load up the mountain to us. We have to pay for two trips. How two trips is less polluting than one is beyond me.

SOme truckers say it the engines to shut down. Great when you are in a plane.

They need to put windmills on these airplanes so they won’t burn as much fuel.

If this happens, the airlines should put it clearly delineated in the ticket...EPA CLEAN AIR SURCHARGE. shove the price right in everybody’s face.

Y’know, until these flying torture chambers accomodate me (5’18”), I applaud all the bad that happens to airlines.

Emergency row you say? Oh sorry, the 5’ 65 y/o woman got that seat. She’s more competent in an emergency right? /s

So kill the airlines, I do not care.

I starting to think that our leaders want us common folk to stay at home while they zip around the country on bullet trains and attend global warming conferences in Zurich.
