GOP aiming for Friday trade vote, but snag remains

House leaders, confident but not yet certain they have the support to pass sweeping trade legislation, are aiming to bring the package to a floor vote by the end of this week — even as they rush to resolve a last-minute hangup over how to pay for aid to displaced workers.

The vote to grant President Barack Obama fast-track authority to negotiate a massive Pacific Rim trade deal will be extremely tight by all accounts. Senior aides and lawmakers in GOP leadership are intent on scheduling the vote at the moment they believe they have the votes locked up — ideally by Friday, to spare supportive lawmakers the possibility of another weekend of attacks by trade foes back in their districts.

Any Senator that votes for this,
Sen. Cruz included,
abrogates their candidacy for POTUS.

When the Chamber of Commerce calls, Boehner and company ask “How high?”. This Congress should not give this despot power like this. The Congress has not done one thing to stand up to El Caudillo. They have not done one thing for the American people. They have spent their time pleasing the K Street lobbyists.

I say vote NO on this mess.

That’s just my view, but I am completely against this, as it currently is hidden away and nobody really knows what is in it.

We do not need to sell ever more of America to the world. What we need is to turn our focus to re-growing America for a change.

Fiorina, in an interview with Breitbart News at the South Carolina Freedom Summit last month, compared Obamatrade to Obamacare—noting that the secretive process is extraordinarily troubling.
Free trade is a good thing and I would love to be able to support this thing, but unfortunately we don’t know what’s in it . . .. Breitbart article

Rumors are that this deal includes lots of goodies that the totalitarian left wants but can't get through Congress.

Completely corrupt. I don’t know how, but we HAVE to get Boner and Mitch out of there, and all the other RINO fascist pigs.

the subject was trade. throwing out the trade baby with the fast track bath water as an excuse is an intellectually dishonest tactic

it is what Obama does all the time

How is it possible two people can apparently disagree about everything?

It is remarkable how much we disagree on.

Just saying. :D

If the Europeans can do it, we can do it. Breitbart's current headline (don't know how long it will lead):

EXCLUSIVE: Grassroots Pressure Kills EU’s ‘Corporatist’ Trade Deal… Farage: ‘I’ve Never Seen Anything Like It’

I would so love to see the DC Cabal take a huge defeat here.

The political repercussions will be enormous due to the bi-partisan advocacy, and the bi-partisan resistance.

And a PRINCIPLED resistance it is.

You will hear a LOT about this agreement in the summer of 2016, in every primary, for every party, for every elected federal office.
