From the article: "As Sundays results confirmed, Erdoğan had a bad campaign and was punished for it. His divisive behaviour was rejected by voters and rebounded on him. He emerges a weakened and diminished figure, with his reputation and influence much reduced." Compliments to the Turks. We can't say that much about our "fellow Americans" who voted 0b0z0 in twice and about to do the same for Hitlery.

It is awesome, if only because it will force Erdogan to drop the act and show his totalitarian islamist intentions. He has intended form the beginning to be a traditional Mideast strongman in the mold of Saddam Hussein or Assad. Now that the election went poorly he will bare his teeth.

The mould-breaking outcome of Turkeys general election ... While I grant you that the smell of the current Turkish leadership smells like mould, I think that the writer meant to say mold. English, it is so funny!

Until Erdogan became President, Turkey was the only country that proved that Islam is compatible with democracy.
