Baltimore Mayor’s Staffers Jumping Ship
Legal Insurrection ^ | June 5, 2015 | Andrew Branca

We’re all familiar with the proverb, rats flee a sinking ship. To see this in action on a human scale we need look no further than the offices of Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.

In a story that’s gotten remarkably little news coverage, the Baltimore Sun Times reports that four of the Mayor’s highest ranking staff have quit since six Baltimore police officers were charged in the death of Freddie Gray.

"Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts has said police are struggling to stop violence in West Baltimore, where officers have been routinely surrounded by dozens of people, video cameras and hostility while performing basic police work since the death of Freddie Gray, the 25-year-old who died after suffering a spinal cord injury while in police custody."

Well .... they said the Baltimore PD was doing too much policing. Now they seem to think the Baltimore PD is still doing too much policing. Or too little policing. It's hard to tell.

How much policing will make them happy, if it's not 100% or 50%?

75%? 25% 0%

I don't think Rawlings-Blake has a clue as to what she's started -- at least not as much of a clue as people working for her had.

Dunno, but dollar-to-donuts says that ALL of the staff who left or who are going down with the ship are liberal/progressive/Democrats.

No surprise there. Her gender and color are a twofer in the area of media protection.

Sadly all this will do is open the door for more cronies to be hired. The office will just get worse.

I’ve only been able to find that Heather Johnese is Black, Deputy Director of Justice. There were actually two that left before, I read, making a total of six.

Four of the five worked in public safety, so these resignations are probably a good thing since public safety seems to be lacking in Baltimore.

It wont make a difference. More incompetent, lunatic Liberals will fill the empty positions. Next stop: the desolation of Detroit.

Liberals are becoming the political movement of the criminally insane.

I would assume the staff knows the dirty little secrets of this case and it's going down flames and are hauling ass...

Another scenario is the mayor is not going to modify her position on indicting these cops and these staffers know it's not going to end well..

The Baltimore Sun Times reports that four, or more, of Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake highest ranking staff have quit since six Baltimore police officers were charged in the death of Freddie Gray.

Not to worry....the Clinton Foundation is stepping in to help.

Hillary will conduct a listening tour of poverty-stricken
neighborhoods---to hear victims tell of police violence.

Very few people know that thanks to the Foundation's generous socially conscious donors------Mideast royalty, petro-billionaires, compromised television journalists, mining magnates, corporate titans, and tyrannical foreign govts----the Foundation has positively affected people's lives and communities through their selfless work.

I don't think Rawlings-Blake has a clue as to what she's started -

Probably not, but if anyone still listens to Hugh Hewitt you heard him praise this woman as an excellent mayor.

I don't get it with some of these self-absorbed talkers.

They know they have no future because she doesn’t; at best she might be re-elected queen of northern Zimbabwe. On top of that, they have to drive further now to fill their prescriptions...

Looks like she might get that title, after all.

Parts of Baltimore will resemble northern Zimbabwe soon...
